I marched in the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps from 1996-1998. I was a Tenor player in the Drum Line. Those three years defined me as a person and musician. That time in my life was so life changing that I sat down and wrote a book about it. This 282 page book chronicles the true events that took me from a boy, into a man. For anybody who would like to find out the true realities of Drum and Bugle Corps, this is your book! If you are an alumni of any Corps and have braved the hot summers, this is your book! If you enjoy stories of struggle and triumph, this is your book! To see more of this book and purchase your copy, please go to www.wildridepublications.com.

Why write a book about Drum Corps?: The experience of Drum Corps has not been appriciated by the general public until now. The struggle people go through in this endeavor rivals any major life accomplishment. When friends and coworkers ask, “What is Drum Corps?” Are we all not tired of attempting to explain it in figurative ways such as, “It’s like marching band on the level of Broadway and as disciplined as the Marine Corps?” This book paints a picture of the realities endured within Drum Corps at its highest level and give the reader a glimpse into the soul of a marching member like never before. This book offers the story behind the story.

It was an amazing book adn really portrayed SCV and the people involved
