About Vannacutt (Step Brotour Starts 1.08.10 in VENTURA)
Vannacutt is an upcoming band from Las Vegas that’s on their way to bigger and better things, and taking over their music scene with force and vengeance. The group was founded by Jeff Machete, Brian Rogers, and Nick Decay in December of 2007, after their respective former bands broke up. They found Dan Grgat to fill the position of lead guitar and Matt Janz entered the picture when his previous band members from Hollis Hurst (Jeff Machete and Nick Decay) asked him to play bass for the band, although hesitant at first, Matt Janz joined and the relentless force that is known as Vannacutt was born. After only half a year of existence, Vannacutt went through some crucial line-up changes, Dan Grgat left the band and Matt Janz took the position of Lead guitarist, giving Vannacutt a new, energetic, and profound sound.
The band went to Love Juice Labs to record their first demo in June of 2008, and when they came back it quickly received attention and gave the band the well known notoriety they longed for. Vannacutt worked on their stage show, and created one of the most intense, chaotic, and epic live shows the Las Vegas’ music scene has ever seen. With a grip of new material, Vannacutt returned to Love Juice Labs in December of 2008 to record the rest of their e.p. They returned home with a new, heavier, more melodic, and al-together better sound. When they put their e.p on myspace it quickly received massive attention, with an average of 5,000 plays a day, and putting themselves in the higher positions of the myspace top 100 unsigned band's charts, they were catching on like herpes.
Vannacutt played tons a regional shows, including shows with I Am Ghost, Bleeding Through, Carnifex, Motionless in White, Moltov Solution, Miss May I, My Children My Bride, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Dance Gavin Dance, In:Aviate, Taking Dawn, The Number Twelve Looks Like you, I See Stars, We Came as Romans, Story of the Year, and Escape the Fate.
Vannacutt has recently undergone a serious lineup change, introducing Larry Lare on Drums, and Billy Kostelich on Bass. The band is stronger, better, tighter, heavier, and more focused then ever, and is on a warpath to succeed in the music industry. Vannacutt signed to Movement management in October of 2009, introudcing their new manager, Jon King. The band is currently recording a new three track demo with Andy Pugh, and is expecting a release in mid-October. Vannacutt is headlining their first tour, “The Stepbro Tour”, with Castle Grayskull, and the Fall of Babylon in early January and is ready to rip the balls and/or face off of everyone at the tour! About to Break Review! Vannacutt hail from the city of Sin and are taking names in 09′. The guys have had a great name on Myspace by being in the top 100 unsigned charts for quite sometime, as well as an average of 5,000 plays a day. Vannacutt has been doing as many regional shows as possible preparing to tour within the year. Recently shooting a music video, and launching a new Myspace layout this week, the guys are always updating themselves and keeping things fresh.
