Und der hat im Laufe der Zeit reichlich Hornhaut auf seiner Gitarristen-..Musikerseele angesammelt,was nicht zu überhören ist – verrauchte Stimme, fette Gitarren, erdige Texte….... Wichtig ist: Es muss direkt aus dem Bauch kommen! .. Kopf und Fuß folgen automatisch…und natürlich darf die Schaufel Blues nie fehlen! .. .. Kein Wunder wenn man Vorbilder hat wie Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Gibbons, J.J.Cale, Tony Joe White, Jimmie Vaughan, James Wilsey (Chris Isaak), Brian Setzer oder Howlin Wolf… .. ein brisanter Mix, der VanWolfen eine sichere Ausnahmestellung garantiert und Vergleiche à la „klingt wie…“ unmöglich macht..... Deshalb gibt’s auch hier nicht mehr zur VanWolfen-Musik zu sagen, Songs und Videos reinziehen und Lieben oder Lassen!.. .. Dank an alle Supporter!.... DER BLUES LÄSST DICH NIE ALLEIN! Those of you tolerant enough to look and listen over the fence will agree to that with no doubt... In the 50ties people were unable to cope with white guys playing the Blues. They reversed their opinion when Clapton, Johnny Winter and Steve Ray Vaughn entered the scene. ....Now it’s time to realize: Even Germans got the Blues!.... Micky has been on the road for many many years and never gave up doing what he does best: Step inside a club and get the joint rockin’ and shakin’! I consider myself as one of his countless distant friends, even though we played in the studio together a long time ago. I gave up the shark-pool business- he sticks to it. I tip my helmet to that..... However at this point I feel like explaining colors to the blind or describing the taste of a banana to someone in remote Siberia. Just put on your head-set and listen to his songs! .... What you’ll get is: A red wine approved voice, guitar riffs from a different planet, vibes touching your soul and your bones and for those familiar with the language- lyrics you’ve always been thinking of.
