DEJAN ILIC a.k.a. DJ WOODIE was man who made the first after war Hip-Hop party in Banja Luka, 24. April 1997. That was his first "music love", mc-ing. At the end of '97 he started to play as a radio DJ, at one of the most respected youth radio "Balkan", where he learned so much about electronic music during that time. That was the year when he made his first party in that music style. Ian Pooley, Robbie Rivera, Todd Tery, Armand Van Helden were just some of the names that he liked to play. (From ..97 ..till ..04 he played hip hop radio show "Yo! Balkan Raps" & "House Vibes") First professional cd-s, later turntables, gave him opportunity to learn all the tricks with mixing, so now you can hear his set on three turntables! Maybe four… Five, if he wants… Now, Woodie is not boarded with one direction in electronic music. You can hear his set with a big spectar of grooves, from deep sounds to funky house, electro, and at the end to very positive techno. His selection is very unpredictable! In his over 7-year career, he has played with names like Umek, Craig Walsh, Brenda Russel, Dave Manali, La Di Da, Adam Jay,Funk D..Void, Valentino Kanzyani, Oxia, Patrick Skoog, Paul Hazendonk, Virgin Helena, Marko Nastic, Petar Dundov, Azzido Da Bass... On March '02, he was a guest on ClubIIClub festival in Torino, Italy (one night, three clubs, 20 djs) with the Youngsters, Michael Mayer, Alex Neri, Ralph Lawson. He played at one of the biggest festivals in Europe, EXIT 04, which crosses about 200.000 people. Besides that, he is a vocalist in cross over band Recall, who are preparing their first album. He also goes on with in Hip Hop for all this time. On the road is his 1st Banja Luka..s mixtape "Bilo je vrijeme" (It was time) with a lot of BL mcs. On this project he represents his two solo tracks, with guest appearances on several more tracks. The newest Woodies project is called Breaksters, where he represents break beat selection with Milan Acimovic on live effects with Micro Korg and MF Police on scratch.
