La Compagnia di danza Varitmès è stata fondata nel 2003 da Valentina Angius e Silvia Pietrangeli.
L’idea che guida questa compagnia è quella di fondere nel linguaggio coreografico della danza contemporanea diverse forme espressive, dando vita ad uno stile coreografico sperimentale ed innovativo.
Accanto ad una ricerca sul movimento che parte degli elementi tecnici dalla ginnastica ritmica, le coreografie si sviluppano attraverso l’uso della parola recitata e delle videoproiezioni, con lo scopo di moltiplicare e stratificare le possibilità del linguaggio teatrale.

Nel periodo, chiamato Edo (XVII sec.), si sviluppò un vasto ed impetuoso movimento artistico e culturale detto Ukiyo-e (mondo fluttuante), che introducendo il concetto, assolutamente innovativo per i tempi, di arte di massa, accessibile a tutti, contribuì a trasformare la struttura della società giapponese. Ci ispiriamo a questo nell'invitarvi a partecipare, anche come lettori, alla serata aperitivo dedicata all' HAIKU, componimento poetico di tre versi, caratterizzati da 5,7,5 sillabe, poesia dai toni semplici che trae la sua forza dalle suggestioni della natura e le sue stagioni.
Introdurrà la serata, dando inizio alle letture, Andrea Meloni (attore e regista della compagnia d'arte Circo Calumet, che collabora da diverso tempo con la nostra compagnia) con l'accompagnamento video-sonoro live di Svart1. Dunque siete invitati a dare lettura di haiku di poeti giapponesi o occidentali come Kerouac, Borges, Sanguinetti o, perché no, scritti da voi.
"A 25 minute piece "Incubi -- Succubi" was born as a live act by Svart1 (Italy) and Daina Dieva (Lithuania) for the opening of an exhibition of the painter Daniele Serra, and performed in an art gallery in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) on the 9th of December 2008.
A common point of departure for this musical soundscape was the theme of the exposition - darkest nightmares. And so it flows wandering through post-folk, saturated in dark ambient and covered in the shelters of industrial, closing the circle with the post-folk chant again.
This peace is meant to be perceived as a soundscape for a moonlite night - closing the eyes under the sparkling path of the full moon and letting go of this world. A first phase of sleep is a handful of memories, feelings and illusions, the second phase - the heavy sleep - is a torture of nightmares, the third phase lets you rest in the dreamlands of childhood, while the fourth pushes back to suffering the darkest night hours. Finally the first rays of the sun enlighten the feverish dream and calls out to enchanted awakening.
