Vascotia is a young trance duo from Norway, which was founded early 2003. The producers are both named Frode: Frode Kambo Nilsen and Frode "Lavizh" Rahne. At the age of 12, Frode started to play instruments like the piano and guitar. But as soon as trance was introduced in Norway, he started collecting trance records and spend lots of hours listening to trance music. Quickly after that he bought his first syntesizer and started with producing music. After sending out some tracks, he met Frode through the internet... Lavizh (17-04-1978) started early with producing. At the age of 14, he already discovered trackers on the PC. After a few years, soft-synthesizers were introduced, and Frode used it alot. But even that wasn't enough and soon he bought his first real synthesizer (JP-8000). Producing more powerfull music with a better quality was possible now. When they both met in studio, Calibro was the first result. It was signed to the dutch label Somatic Sense Recordings, and was the first single to reach 1st spot on IDM Dutch dance Charts, aswell as being crowned ..Tune of the month.. in MIXMAG! Its to many considered as a true classic and their favourite trance track ever!
