Born and raised in West Oak Lane, Philadelphia, producer Aeon of VastMixed Productions, is living to make music. Charged with his parents’ love of jazz and soul at an early age, music has been an ever-present backdrop for Aeon through the years. He has developed a mental library of all things music, and the influences of J. Dilla, Just Blaze, Pete Rock, and DJ Premier, have inspired this producer, well-versed and familiar with the many angles and components of what it takes to make good music.
The commodity of music has always been a distant second to the art of it, and the artistry is where Aeon strives to excel. Armed with nothing more than a tricked out PC running FL Studio 7, a midi keyboard, and a Triggerfinger, he slices choice samples from a tapestry of source material, juxtapositions them in his mind, and lets the machines do the talking. A drum fiend by nature, Aeon spends hours pouring over gigs of drum sounds and patterns until he finds just the right one for the track.
Four years may be a short stint in the game, but he makes it clear that he’s in it for the long haul. “I got a sound and a mission,” he says; “I’ve never been more focused. I believe in this. I believe this is what I’m here on earth to do.” Aeon got his start circulating his beats at Okayplayer.com and Soundclick.com. the same sites that helped bolster the careers of producer 9th Wonder and Little Brother, and through the following he amassed there, went on to work independently with artists from Atlanta to Cincinatti to NYC. Since linking with manager Nate G out of Washington, DC, he has produced for Loud Minority Records artist Che Grand and has a number of other projects with other artists in the works, and Raw Poetic of the critically acclaimed group Panacea (Rawkus Records). With these ventures, plus two personal projects in the wings, Aeon’s plate is filling- but he isn’t complaining. On the contrary; he’s hungry for more.
Recent projects include May's song of the month with Tanya Morgan, and a new artist feature spot at Tasteful Licks.com. Stay tuned for more. The year only looks far more promising than ever before. Word.

I'm sending this message to all my band / musician friends:
For about 1 year now I've been using a software program to manage my MySpace account. I use it to send new friend requests, and I've added over 3,000 friends using it only 1-2 times per week. It has some great features for sending out comments and messages to promote your music and expose your tracks to a bigger audience.
I'm not trying to Spam or whatever, so I'm just sending this message out once - you can message me or comment back if you have any questions...
Check out the link below - they have a free demo you can download if interested.
