"An astonishingly brilliant artist...It’s the closest you’ll possibly get to music perfection." Room Thirteen
"One of this year's best kept secrets." Heaven or Las Vegas
"Thoughtful, intelligent, honest music...akin to Jeff Buckley." Subba Cultcha
"I can see some similarity with Buckley, a touch of Nick Drake too."
Nic Howden (Access All Areas)
"Vaughan King and his Riff Raff finished me off with their bluesy blend of rock lullabies. Cellos mingled with the rough around the edges voice of the vocalist and it went down like hot chocolate with a shot of whisky. They were the perfect end to a stunning evening."
Charlene Campbell - BBC Club Introducing
« Mr King’s songs are fetchingly dreamy, very harmonious and all in all a beautiful vibe is laid on you. »
Bugbear
"Very cool and talented guy who has haunting background vocals on the
recorded tracks that really stick with you." John Threat (Director)
« Capable of unlocking some of the locked doors on the pathway to success »
Mark Ringwood - Roots Around The World
The Band
Vaughan King aNd hiS riFf RaFf formed in December 2007 and by January 2008 stunned a sold-out Barfly with a poignant set on a cold and wet Sunday evening. With a loyal MySpace and London fanbase, the band has performed electrifying slots at such prestigious venues as the Water Rats Theatre, the Dublin Castle and the BBC.
Vaughan moved to London in the summer of 2007 and signed a new management deal with the up-and-coming DRS Productions, and will release his debut album 'The Triumphant' on Sunday the 15th of June 2008 at the Barfly.
Originally a solo act based in Southampton, Vaughan had already joined the illustrious south coast gig circuit with performances at The Joiners, The Talking Heads (Southampton), Wedgewood Rooms (Portsmouth), The Railway Inn (Winchester) and the Sanctuary Cella (Brighton).
With spell-binding acoustic shows at Thriplow (Cambridge) and Beggars Fair (Southampton) festivals in 2006, Vaughan is set to repeat such performances with his new band and scheduled appearances throughout the country during his UK tour in the summer 2008 to promote his Debut Album "The Triumphant".

Was great to hear you guys play last night. Terrific moving songs. Hopefully we can hook up some gigs. With regards to Cog, They are playing at Shepherds Bush on the 5th of July with Shihad. We should get a crew together and rock around to support the boys!
How have you been? Hope all is going well..I've started learning acoustic, tougher than I've thought, since I'm learning notes and scales..thinking of signing for voice lessons too..and maybe put my writings to music~ Take care, Cheers, Cin:)
He there. Album isn't going brilliantly, as I don't have a band for it yet. As soon as I get gigging and have time to send to it to people, I'm sure something will happen. How's yours? I'm very impressed by what I've heard, very poignant stuff.
