In 2006 the brothers Matthias (g) and Sebastian (d) started the Band 'Vaulting' with the help from Philipp (b), Julien (g) an Felix (v). The last two played in a band together before. Because Julien and Philipp put their studies first, they decided to leave the band. They were replaced by Martin (g) and currently we are looking for a new bassplayer.
The musical orientation in Deathgrind has its influences from bands like 'Misery Index' and 'Cephalic Carnage'. The songwriting doesn't have any dogma though, composed is what the band members like. Speed meets rhythmic groove, dull riffs rotate with playful guitarmelodies.
The lyrics, which are heavy on methapors are mostly written in german. 'Vaulting' supported bands like 'Poostew', 'All shall perish' and 'Sworn Enemy'. More concerts are planned to present the E.P. 'Epilog', which was recorded in August 2008 in the CBK Studios in Essen, Germany.
