VAUVA-07 Tsembla - Tuplafiesta 7"EP .. Decay and copulation rites flourish around a trash raft that fish take for a coral reef. The sun blinds your eyes, but you can see a figure there... And in the desert, wind, erosion and echoes work the surroundings of Poly Styrene’s ex-hang-out, an oasis filled with lively people and empty beer cans. Ornamental carpets and fresh water, too. There it is again! It’s Tsembla playing her modified samples, strings, reeds, percussion and the whole range of modern psych instruments to create fiestas with strong twists of pop music. Sounds old and new and like nothing you’ve ever heard before. – N-M .... ..Reviews ....Still Single.. ....Other Channels.. ..VAUVA-07 The Puke Eaters - "Y. M. I. Dead?" / "Flesh Descending" 7" .. Two tracks by the Puke Eaters, the A side was originally conceived as a theme for an album dealing with Deihoma, the man who wandered inside "the Worm that ate the world" in order to slay it. Strictly Steen & Rusty, as inept as ever. B side has Rusty involved in the act of synthesizer desecration with some nameless slave. Steen Guru vocals were added later via the method of overdubbing. – Ralf Normaali .... ..Reviews ....Still Single.. ..VAUVA-05 Fricara Pacchu - Lucy 7"EP ..Fricara Pacchu is a man whose quest is the 'real'. The same quest that made him quit his profession as a photographer and become a welder. This Maniacs Dream member's sixth solo release 'Lucy' contains five tracks recorded on his four tracker, using electronic keyboards, presets, guitar, stylophone and effects. Hard driving psychedelic synthesizer music. - Ralf Normaali .... ..Reviews ....Still Single.. ....Kid Shirt.. .. ..VAUVA-04 Stone Breath - Green Shrouds for Dead Gods, Green Swaddling for Gods Reborn 7"EP .. Stone Breath, from the wilds of rural Pennsylvania, have long been at the forefront of the contemporary acid folk scene, combining dark ancient sounding folk drones with the pure light generated by the post-Incredible String Band generation. Anyway, they have a new single, Green Shrouds for Dead Gods / Green Swaddling for Gods Reborn, and it is gorgeous. Using banjo, harmonium, jaw harp, glasstamboura, bull fiddle, and vocals, the duo create more moss-draped mystery than you'd need to hide an army of Clive Palmer robots. And even though there is a distinct Christly content at times, the way these guys roll out their sound just about obliterates that move's inherent discomfort for atheist listeners. - Byron Coley / The Wire Magazine .... -

"I raise myself up in bed and fling out my arms. My nervous condition has got the upper hand of me, and nothing availed, no matter how much I tried to work against it. There I sat, a prey to the most singular fantasies, listening to myself crooning lullabies, sweating with the exertion of striving to hush myself to rest. I peered into the gloom, and I never in all the days of my life felt such darkness. There was no doubt that I found myself here, in face of a peculiar kind of darkness; a desperate element to which no one had hitherto paid attention. The most ludicrous thoughts busied me, and everything made me afraid."
