Victor Ezcurdia is one of the best known and respected DJ's in the progressive & trance scene in México. He always pleases the crowd with extraordinary sets that mix the essence and power of music, creating a dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion.
Always close to music, he has now been djing for more than thirteen years and has also been involved in the production of music for more than eight years now. His presence is essential at the best trance parties and festivals held all over Mexico and he is constantly required all over the world since some time now.
As label head of the Sounds of Earth
organization (www.soundsofearth.net), he hasnt just organized great trance parties in the Mexico City area but has achieved to create the most solid and important Mexican electronic music artists roster. In 2001, he signed with Spirit Zone Recordings, one of the most important trance labels in the world. Taking part in radio, he co-produced Psychotherapy (96.9 WFM), a weekly psy trance radio show with a big audience in Mexico (2002).
His talent has taken him to play around the world in festivals like Boom (Portugal), Voov Experience 2001, 2004, 2007 (Germany), Fusion Festival 2004, 2005(Germany), Antaris (Germany), Solstice (Holland), Sola Luna (Greece), Universo Paralello (Brazil), Ypy Poty (Brazil), Tundra (Lithuania), Lovefield (Germany), Shiva Moon (Germany), Tshitraka (Germany), Tranceformation (Brazil), Indian Spirit (Germany), Festival de Independencia (Brazil), Wonderland (Germany), Vaikuntha (Germany), Sunvibe (Brazil), Monte Mapu (Chile), etc. About international festivals, it's clear that no other Mexican Dj has ever gone so far.
He has played twice in the Tecnogeist/Loveparade gathering in México City, in front of more than 100,000 people. Canada, Austria, Ireland, Chile, Holand, Germany, Brazil, Greece, Lithuania, Portugal, USA, etc. are some of the country stamps on his Dj passport. He has played in some of the best international clubs and many indoor/outdoor parties all around the world, having the opportunity to play with all biggest names of the trance scene. Vazik is definitely the Mexican Dj with the most international exposure and recognition since some time now.
His talent and charisma have been officially renowned; on 2003 he was recognized as the “Best Dj of the Year” in Mexico. At the DJ World Expo 2003, (Mexico City), he was awarded “Best Psy Trance Dj of the Year”. Vazik is back into lower BPMs since years now, he is deeply attached to progressive and techno but he is still delivering it in an emotional and mind-blowing way.
Vazik has released more than 40 tracks on different labels around the world. He is constantly working in the studio on its own tracks and in his project named Bienmesabe (together with Dj Jabba). He also produced as Indika (together with Dj Geza) for some time. He is always cooking tunes that will be out soon.
So nowadays Vazik is not only performing his well known solid and groovy progressive Dj sets but he is now showing his own live set, a unique fusion of progressive, techno & trance with a very special perspective that rocks any indoor or outdoor gathering. Talking about outdoor gatherings, he is the head behind Radiance Festival, probably the most expected and respected outdoor party in Mexico.
Since 2007, Vazik is also busy running his own digital label Sounds of Earth Records which is having a very good response over the world with their releases and compilations. His label is constantly delivering some of the cream that comes out from Mexico. Vazik is deep into music; he definitely believes on its power and he will always try to express it when he is behind the decks.
