"Rise" is currently #3 on the Upstream Radio Hot 25, and it has been on the rise since it's inception to Upstream Radio nearly a year ago. I have not heard a better oxymoron to describe a band capturing the essence of sounding ambient rock. Stealing the rich sounds, only to give it back for everyone to hear, even the poor.
This 21st century indie rock Robin Hood is certainly a Beautiful Criminal. Their soul driven music has the capability to send mind chilling sounds deep into the free world of cyberspace. Anathematic melodies, memorable hooks, and introspective lyrics are the foundation of Beautiful Criminal's radio-friendly debut CD.
An original sound created by two friends that dug deep to find the true roots of art in music. Singer/songwriter Nathan Picard knows how to belt out the lyrics inspired by producer/guitarist Kip Haynes' amazing ability to draw out emotion through the use of layered textures and melody on the guitar. Drummer Kelly King and bassist Yutaka Sao provide the backbone to this LA4. Together, they make one Beautiful Criminal.

Enjoy!*** Ainjel Emme (pronounced "angel em") is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Austin, TX. Æ spent much of her childhood in Venice, CA before moving to Austin in 1991. Though she's known primarily as a vocalist, Ainjel has established herself as an accomplished songwriter, producer,guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, and drummer. She is often the sole musician on her studio recordings. A self-professed "down-to-earth-yet-somewhat off-the-planet" artist who started her career as a teenage runaway and street musician, Emme has never been signed to a label or toured to promote her music. She operates without a manager or publicist, working as a waitress and holding fundraisers to support her projects. In the winter of 2003, she independently released her first album, HEARTACHE IS BORING (currently out of print but available for download at iTunes), which was partially recorded at Willie Nelson's Pedernales studio. The song "Set Up For A Fall" won "Best Pop Song of 2006" at the Independent Artist Company (IACmusic.com), where four other Æ songs have hit #1 on the KIAC Big 50 charts. "HEARTACHE IS BORING" has received critical acclaim from local and national press (BlueRailroad, The Austin Chronicle, BUST Magazine among others) and was a staff pick for the Top 10 CDs of 2003 at Austin's 90.5 KUT-FM (also honorable mention "Top CDs of 2003", The Austin Chronicle). Her live performances have been recommended by Music Connection Magazine, The Austin Chronicle, and the Los Angeles Times. She has performed at both the Coachella and Lollapalooza festivals as a drummer/percussionist with avant group MASS Ensemble, covered lead guitar duties for glam-rocker Shandon Sahm (former Meat Puppets drummer and son of Texas legend Doug Sahm), guested on drums with Scissors For Lefty at the 2007 SXSW Festival, occasionally sits in on rhythm guitar with LA's all-girl AC/DC tribute band, Whole Lotta Rosies (who opened for Foo Fighters in September), and comprises one half of the scandalous musical comedy duo, Tits and Giggles. Ainjel was also the original drummer for the Austin-based pop quintet, Sheboygan. She is as passionate about her work as an accompanist as she is about her solo career. In August 2007, she contributed vocals and guitar to two tracks on the debut album from Maynard James Keenan's PUSCIFER.
