Jamie Holiday here... now listen up...
Take one shot Hard Rock, one shot Power Pop, then "a big swig"of New York-style 70's Glam / Punk and finish with a chaser of some Alterna Rock attitude... well...you'll have to listen to the tunes !
Conceived during an Oxycontin-and-Snickers-induced rampage, the Vampyre Bunnies started out as a compliation of tunes securely hidden away in the twisted mind of JAMIE HOLIDAY, veteran tunesmith and singer. (For more on the strange and sordid history of Jamie Holiday, check out Jamie's Website or www.myspace.com/jamieholiday and discover his past, present and future projects, including SADDLE TRAMP,KING JAMES, DEN OF THIEVES, and Jamie Holidays CATHOUSE)
JAMIE HOLIDAY beat much of these tunes into shape with the help of Fifth Bunny Norman van der Sluys, friend and ace recording engineer and Master of the Backwards Bass and Guitar[not to mention a truly thumpin' drummer ]laying down the entire album at Normans very own MADHOUSE STUDIOS in NW Washington. DC.
JOSH SINGER (former guitarist of BREATHING ON PEOPLE), mistakenly answering what he believed to be a personal ad in the City Paper, was pressed into service as bass player guitar hero and back vox guru ..oh and general kvetcher.
Rounding out the sound is NORMAN van der SLUYS who has stepped in to play drums for the East Coast live shows and recordings.
With the completion of the ROCKSTAR DAMAGE album (click the CDBaby link on the left for purchase information!), the Vampyre Bunnies decided to take their tunes out of the studio and to the people, geared and primed to take DC by storm.
Although you wont find them wearing gold-lame jumpsuits or feathered boas, the Vampyre Bunnies sound like the kind of band who could have opened up for Television or Blondie on a rainy Tuesday night gig at CBGBs in 1976... or in England as a support act for T.Rex or Roxy Music in 73' !

Here's a CD review we just received from the West Coast...
ROCKSTAR DAMAGE / the Vampyre Bunnies (Independent Release 2006)
ROCKSTAR DAMAGE, the brilliant debut release from The Vampyre Bunnies brings back the fun in rock music. ROCKSTAR DAMAGE is a remarkable debut outing that takes the Psych-pop rock sound to a whole new level. The Vampyre Bunnies are powered by: Jamie Holiday vocals/songwriter/guitars, Joey Starr guitar, Josh Singer - bass guitar/vox, Rick Kutchey - drums. Frontman Jamie Holiday and boys rock their way through this disc with guttural vocals and guitar work. A pop-punk vibe that takes a 60's sound and turns it on its head. The Vampyre Bunnies are hungry and mean. Highlights include the built-for-the-thrill rockers like "June Apple", "Whole Wide World", and "Tongue Tied". If you're a fan of classic rock or classic punk, or you want to see what Iggy Pop or David Johanson sounded like before they went mainstream, check out this album- you're bound to be impressed. The Vampyre Bunnies have talent. They know how to rock. With this release, The Vampyre Bunnies have re-established a solid and impressive rock sound in today's musical culture. Throw away all your other crappy CDs, crack open a cold one, guzzle it, get half naked and just rock out, dude. The Vampyre Bunnies ROCK, plain and simple. It's good to finally hear a modern rock band that doesn't suck. ROCKSTAR DAMAGE is essential listening to anyone who wants to hear real rock and roll in this dark age. This is definitely some unique rock music by today's standards. Leave your standard radio CDs behind and check out something different. The Vampyre Bunnies are definitely worth checking out.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
