About me:

I am a candidate for the MIAMI-DADE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT 2 seat. I believe public education and our children are our greatest assets. They deserve a quality education that develops the whole child and not just teaches them to pass a standardized test. Check out my bio and the rest of my message at www.vanessawoodardbyers.com.

Educated, professional female trying to make a difference in the world. Accountant by profession but not your typical bean-counter. Quirky sense of humor. Enjoy writing --- poetry, freelance journalism, copywriting, etc. Passionate, compassionate, opinionated and generally enjoy life.

I am so loving this place called MySpace. I've connected with some awesomely intelligent, talented and creative folks here. To all of my current friends...Smooches! Not my friend? Send me an invite. THANKS! :)
..

Who I'd like to meet:

Positive, creative, free-thinkers who are socially-conscious, community-oriented and ethnically-centered. As far as specific people, I'd like to meet Oprah Winfrey. I am in awe of her courage and boldness in her commitment to support Barack Obama in his quest for the presidency of the United States. I'd also like to meet Barack and his wife Michelle; I think they're both amazing people. I'd like to have a conversation with Malcolm X and Martin Luther King to get the real deal on their relationship and thoughts. Each time I drive my car, I think about meeting the crackhead that smashed my car window and stole my purse two years ago at the Mobil gas station on 54th Street and North Miami Avenue...oh yeah...I really would like to meet him.
