WHO AM I - 05 May 2008?
Hello Everyone and welcome to "My Space."
My name is Vee Jefferson and I'm so happy you decided to check out my page.
To tell you a little about myself. I'm a single parent. I have one beautiful baby boy and he is my light and my inspiration.
I'm wearing so many hats right now and my plate is so full, but I'm enjoying every minute of it.
Mostly because for the first time in life I'm calling all of my own shots. And I tell you, it's a tremendous feeling.
I'm from a very small town in South Carolina. I graduated from a high school where there were 208 in the graduating class.
Our summers mostly consisted of getting a job in a peach packing shed, because that's what we were known for - Peaches!
There were plenty of dirt roads and farms, few traffic lights, hardly any street lights, and you just may have to slow down or stop for the cow crossing the road. Of course I know now that this was just good, clean living. But back then, all I wanted was to see more.
I went to college in 1988. Didn't take it very seriously and didn't care about grades either. That was until I couldn't go back.
My father was diagnosed with Cancer in the summer of '89 and I ended up having to sit out for 3 years. Reality check...
after working a few undesirable jobs, I realized how much I wanted and needed to go back to school. And Internet Marketing definitely was not around back then that I knew of. So as soon as the opportunity presented itself, as soon as my obligations at home lightened up a bit, I jumped at the opportunity to enroll in college and decided to major in Nursing. Needless to say, this time around I excelled. But that's nothing strange for the non-traditional student.
BACKGROUND
I've been a Registered Nurse for over 12 years. I've worked in both small and large hospitals. I've done the nursing homes and even some home health and hospice. But the most memorable and rewarding so far has been actual hands-on care in the acute care facilities. There was a time when I knew Nursing was my calling, and for that time, I know I was exactly where I was supposed to be. But to everything there is a reason and a season. You see, nursing is a service job, and while I love being of service to others, I believe that I'm now being called to work on other things more personal.
I had my son exactly 4 years and 2 days ago. I was on maternity leave for 12 weeks, and as the time approached for me to go back to work, I became totally distraught. Anyone who's had a newborn can feel me when I say I didn't want to leave him. I desperately started trying to find things I could do from home, but to no avail. There was nothing I could do in such a short period of time that would allow me to work from home, so of course I had to go back to work. Now some would have let this be the end of that initial seed of inspiration.
Not me! For me it was the beginning of something marvelous. It was the birth of Vee, the business woman and entrepreneur, and I haven't looked back yet. So for the past 4 years, I've been learning, researching, and absorbing as much as possible about starting, running, and growing a business.
PRESENT DAY
Today I'm a travel nurse with a mission. My goal is to smoothly transition completely out of nursing, and into full-time self-employment/entrepreneur. As I stated earlier, I am wearing many hats:
Health Coach
Author and Freelance writer
Blogger
Natural Hair Model
but the thing I'm wrapping my head around at the moment is Internet Marketing.
INTERNET MARKETING: WHY & HOW
It's so funny, because I'd actually already started dibbling a bit with Internet Marketing, but not to the extent that I'm working with it now. And to be quite honest, I'd become somewhat disillusioned with it after doing some research. That's when I started to realize that all that SPAM and JUNK email that was coming to my very first email account was from Internet Marketers. I'm telling you, they absolutely drove me crazy, and I remember thinking, "I don't want to do this. I can't be one of these people and I don't want to bother people like I'm being bothered." And I never signed up for any programs that promised me the world, because I wasn't the type of person who trusted people over the Internet enough to want to get involved. And although I knew that it could be a lucrative business, I knew I just had to figure out how to get started without being cheated, dumped on, or conned out of my money. I worked too hard for it. So I pretty much focused my attention on other things I was doing.
But recently I've fallen back into Internet Marketing. I finally found something that WASN'T too good to be true and I'm loving it!
THE JOY OF MYSPACE
So my purpose for being here on Myspace is to bring awareness to Internet Marketing and all the advantages and benefits that come along with it. I would also like to connect with like-minded individuals to learn, to share, to grow. I've been lucky enough to be able to start my personal Internet Marketing business with the help of someone I'd known for a long while, and just as importantly, someone I knew - without a doubt - I could trust. Not only has he offered me training and mentoring, but also some really great tips on marketing myself. So I feel it's time to pass it on. His favorite quote is, "if you help enough people get what they want, you will in return get what you want."
Many people fail in this business, but the reason for this is the lack of training. Good training and know-how are essential to the success of your business. But most people, especially those new to this business, buy into an idea, concept, or even a compensation plan without learning the first thing about how to actually run that business well enough to get all the financial rewards promised of that program. No one can be successful at a thing before first understanding how to do that particular thing.
THE TRUTH!
Another thing I find myself always wanting to do is to help others. It is my nature.
While I am a health coach with an emphasis on stress management, I also believe in financial security and independence.
Let's be real honest here. Money, or the lack of , is the root of a many people's stress and ultimately poor health.
So not only do I want to help people reach optimal health, but also achieve financial freedom.
And believe me, financial Security can NOT be obtained from:
a Nine to five job where a person has to clock in for every cent made
a job that doesn't guarantee lifetime employment
a job without continued benefits and costly premiums in the event of an accident or illness
So you may ask, OK, so what's the answer? The answer is MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME.
Multiple streams of income is pretty much like diversifying your investments, with the underlying premise being that if one thing doesn't work, something else will and you don't go bust just because of one bad investment.
And you know, Internet Marketing is just like any other type of business. There are some good guys and some bad guys out there, however the business itself is not a corrupt one. What my team and I have to offer is much more than a product. We offer tools, comprehensive, one on one mentoring services, tutorials, and step by step instruction on how to market yourself. And you will actually get to talk to me - not a representative, and definitely not an automated voice system.
We've learned from the best and are willing to share with the world!
ARE YOU READY?
I believe that everyone has the potential for greatness, but not all will search hard enough to find it.
Not everyone is going to live life to their fullest potential, and I think that's pretty sad.
So I'm letting my light shine, hoping to spread a little light on others and effect positive change so that they too may shine.
