About me: Check Out The Blog!!.............................."Bring the "Vegas Vampire Back to Vegas for Halloween 2009!!!!"............ Hello all who have ventured into our crypt. This page was created to recognize the "Vegas Vampire" AKA Jim Parker. He was the Las Vegas late night horror host of "Shock Theater" in the 60's and 70's. He was and still is a great guy. He drove around Las Vegas in his hearse greeting fans and making many personal appearnces. He did a lot of charity work to include hosting the local muscular dystrophy telethon every year. My family and I met him at several apearances and he always had time to spend with his young fans. He was never hard to find, never aloof, never a primadona, and always the coolest vampire ever.
This site was made to make sure he is never forgotton.

I hope that you have a great leprechaun free party to goto!

Hello all you Vegas Vampire Fans! I just scanned a photo I had from 1974 at my Cub Scout Merit Badge Ceremony here in Las Vegas. The special guest was the Vegas Vampire. If you have a way to show Jim Parker this photo that would be cool. He was so awesome ! (By the way I am right in front of him in the photo, the shorter kid) Thanks, Michael
Hey what's goin on from the guys of AOV. Just wanted to stop by and actually thank you for being on our friendslist. I know you might not have actually bin to our sight but we still love the fact that we can call you a fan. That makes us worship you. Plus the billions of plays we're getting is coming from some where.
The Vegas Vampire's show was also extended to present TWO movies and I believe he was given a second slot to appear on Saturday nights, too. I remember this well:
"GOOD (emphasis on the "OOO" ;-) evening and WELcome to Double Shock Theater... Two spine-tingling motion pictures designed to drive you comePLETEly out of your mind!"
Awesome stuff... We seldom missed his show. Great slumber party must-have - especially when he showed "Night of the Living Dead!" :-)
Thanks for creating this tribute to a wonderful Las Vegas icon!
-WonderingAlice aka Kimberly (I'm the one on the right. ;-)
I've been keeping a bucket of time in the closet, but i think that it must have a leak. When I took a look at it today, I found that 2008 had almost completely run out. This evening, I think that I'll go out to the store and buy some 2009. I hear that its better anyway. Now.., where should I keep it..?
Vegas Vampire It's been awhile since we touched base with everyone so we're sending a holiday shout out to all our myspace friends old and new. We just finished putting a Christmas song up on our profile and thought we'd invite everyone to stop by for a listen and we wish you and yours a warm and wonderful holiday season! Mike & Kathy (Brrrr! Get me to the beach:)
I still remember driving by the small UHF station of the Vegas Vampire out on Boulder highway. It was just out of Las Vegas on the way to lake Mead. I flew by once and seen him leaving after the show with my 1969 Hugger orange 427 Camaro, he waved! Time fly's....
