Akshaya Patra is promoting and teaching vegetarianism by serving 1 million of healthy, nutritious and blessed vegetarian mid-day meals to underprivileged children daily. Among other things our desire is to somehow or other preserve the timeless culture of "Mother Land India"; the protection and love for cows and the ethical non-violent vegetarian lifestyle that India was always known for.
