" Veil Cassini serve up rock, on this their first EP, with a decidedly indie slant. Opener 'Wet Fi$h' with its central bass sound hints at Jesus And The Mary Chain and Clash albums on their record shelves, before it settles into a grungy pop feel more akin to American alt rocker the Breeders. Just when you think this is their sound and NME ought to be reviewing it, 'Silhouette' catches you by surprise with its west coast harmonies that nod to the Byrds and is a British take on the Americana sound that would give an uncut reviewer sweaty palms.
So it continues , each track evoking a different set of influences. 'Box And Cox' reminds you they're part of the Arctic Monkey generation but after the chorus there's an unexpected bittersweet vibe of those lonely troubadours Ron Sexsmith and Elliot Smith.
'Peek A Boo Who' which would fit comfortably on The Lemonheads 'Car, Button, Cloth' album. Its bubblegum hook with 'Liar, liar' is the most insistent on the EP and the one thats most likely to remain in your head after the disk has stopped playing."

It's 1996, Aaron and Myke are playing covers of their favourite songs together in a little church hall in a small sleepy town in the South West. Hayd is writing his first songs and taking his first steps on the guitar and Alex is skating the streets and enjoying life as a young pup.
Fast forward to 2006 and the boys are all assembled in the garage blasting out and crafting songs which are later to be recorded and released on Veil Cassini's 2008 debut EP. The following two years have seen them release a music video and play gigs all around the country as well as landing support slots with Baddies and Nine Black Alps to name a few.
Veil Cassini have just finished their new single 'Fun is Fun' which is due for release in July '09 and is being distributed worldwide by P.H.D. The band are planning to extensively tour the U.K for the rest of 2009.
The Self titled Veil Cassini EP released by Baby Baboon Records is available both digitally and on CD worldwide via I-tunes, Amazon, Play. H.M.V. and many many more.........
