WHO AM I? I am a writer and lover of people, looking to be, and create, the change articulated in my art. I am one of three sons born to West-Indian parents who dreamt too long of my prosperity for me to sleep on the pontential this world has for me. The degrees I've earned, the accolades, are nothing in comparison to my studies of this Earth and experiences with the beautiful and the brutal people that inhabit it. Peace to the community that grows me, the friends that feed me, I am constantly overwhelmed and appreciative. I am a person who is continually reminding themselves to keep moving, mentally, physically, spiritually. I'm a work in progressiveness. A friend of mine, Emmanuel Jal, who was an ex-child soldier in the civil war in the Sudan, once told me, "There is a reason why you are still alive." Simple. Sometimes I have too many words, I think the change I want for myself and my people can be driven by something as essential as that.
