Daniel Madlung aka Exec Bat was born in 1980 in the near of Bautzen. He grows up in Kamenz. He was very interested in dance music and technical things like Computers, Taperecorders, Cd Players and at least Record-Players.... He gets in contact with his first personal computer at the age of 12 years with a running frequency of 33 MHz and a hard disk of 20 megabyte - with a 8 bit 22khz soundcard! Daniel used a tracker program to make some noise with a pc... really funny - this was new for this time! Only Amiga could do it...
He spend a night in a club called Feuerwache in Kamenz with his friends at the age of 16 years. There he could listen to music he never heard before... and you saw dj..s mixing on technics - record players! Wow, he was infected by a virus called "Techno music". He began to dj with a minimum of records in his bag... Soon he started a lot of parties with a team of dj friends from Kamenz. At the age of 20 years he began to fall in love with minimal techno music. At this time he met Mandy Jordan. A great musical girl. Exec and Mandy were one of the pathfinders of this fresh music in East Saxony. It was not easy to play this sound at the clubs in this time because nobody accepted reduced grooves with small samples. Exec found his own style to mix minimal-techno and hypnotic grooves to a complete work... His dj sets are mighty and loopy, always with a sophisticated concept.
He is also very interested in producing electronic music... With the hard and software "Final Scratch" he was able to mix small peaces, loops and unreleased music with a vinyl feeling. In his opinion it was a great fiction and will be a big revival of the dj-scene in the future...
He started to make a Mp3-Label called Vekton-Musik together with Mandy. He is always searching for new sound and his motto is "electronic music performed with new technologies".
