Sounds Like	The Velcro Stars are one of the most interesting, original, and level-headed bands to come out of Murfreesboro in a long time. Their songs are simplistic and well arranged, and bring with them hints of Pavement, Blake Babies, and Superchunk. - (Nashvillezine.com) Murfreesboro’s Velcro Stars make catchy, head-bobbing indie rock that surely would have landed them on the Spongebath label back in the ’90s along with stylistically similar Boro band The Features, if they had been around back then. Actually, the Velcro Stars’ song Just Where My Time Goes has one of those great singalong codas that have made The Features’ shows so fun for so long. Viva la fun rock. - (The Nashville Rage) The Velcro Stars were next, and they gave us an awesome high energy performance that showed why they’re one of Murfreesboro’s best bands. spencer	Dec 8 2008 8:56 PM Hey, I'm looking for volunteers for the upcoming Rock Block Program. Essentially the program meets every Saturday starting February 7th. You would be in charge a a 4-5 piece band, help them work up a set, choose a band name/band logo for t-shirts, your band will record a demo and then play a show. Each band would rehearse for 2hrs with the hours being from 10am-8pm. I know every Saturday for 3 months can be asking a lot BUT it'll be fun.I really just need 5 people to guarantee to be there every Saturday. I'd love to have some satellite volunteers to come in as well and teach specialized topics. Drop me a line if you're interested or if you know someone how is.
