About me: Velocity Magazine is a new publication from Southeast Boy Productions of Washington D.C. Velocity will primarily focus on the worlds of Fashion, Music, Film, In Depth Interviews and Community Affairs. Known primarily for Independent Film Production, Anthony Anderson of Southeast Boy Productions decided to create Velocity Magazine as a means to bring exposure to the voices that are seldom heard in mainstream media and to give added exposure to up and coming Actors, Models, Designers, Recording Artist and Entrepreneurs, while also delving into issues that concern the community at large.
Unlike many other Independent publications, Velocity will be a Magazine that everyone will be able to identify with no matter their Race, Gender or Socioeconomic Background. It is Anthony Anderson’s goal as Editor to create a Magazine that will be informative and entertaining to everyone that cares to read it. “5 Time VMA Nominee “A Change Is Coming” stage play and Director Michael McCorkle to appear in Alexandria, VA for live performance.
NATIONWIDE, USA, October 25, 2008- The critically acclaimed stage play “A Change Is Coming” written and directed by Playwright Michael McCorkle hits the market in a November debut in Alexandria, VA. The stage production opened its 2008 tour in Norfolk, VA and toured the Southeast region making stops in Atlanta, North Carolina and Washington, DC.
A Change Is Coming” is a contemporary Gospel stage play about a family going in different directions of their lives, who are brought together by a grandmother’s faith and belief in the power of prayer. This unique stage play written and directed by Michael McCorkle has a public appeal to a mass audience. The play is reminiscent of “Good ole family values,” meets “Today‘s complexities,” with a healthy dose of laughter and fun thrown in for good measure. Their simple, yet uplifting theatrical play with song have attracted sold-out and enthusiastic audiences to date.
The 2007 sold out production and 2008 five- time VMA Nominee now makes it way to the great city of Alexandria, VA. The performance in conjunction with Minnie Howard Middle school will take place on November 1, 2008 including partnering with Gospel Today Magazine and other local restaurants and vendors.
