The Velvet Ants

About The Band

Bio:

The Velvet Ants formed in 2006 and have released 2 albums to date. The first being "Lunatic Frame" and a second called "Pixie Junk" a collection of alternate takes and b-sides. Both were self-produced and released on the bands own label, T!LT Records. In 2011 the band started work on a follow up entitled "Advantage" with tracks produced and mixed by Ken Stringfellow of The Posies. The album is now available at most sites, including: http://thevelvetants.bandcamp.com, http://reverbnation.com/thevelvetants, & http://www.noisehead.com/mypage/velvetants

The band currently performs in the DC/MD/VA area. For updates follow @ http://twitter.com/velvetants and http://facebook.com/velvetants

"Trevor and I were on some sort of mission to start a new band. We made about two albums worth of tracks, produced at least 400 copies of 'Lunatic Frame' and at least 300 copies of 'Pixie Junk: Alternate Takes + B-Sides.' We passed these homemade creations out around town and gave them to local record shops. We didn't make any of our money back but it was well worth the fight." -Ian
