About me: Top ten words that describe me…daughter, sister, friend, lover, cuddler, giver, survivor, dreamer, passionate, advocate.
My motto is "You only live once, so you might as well enjoy it." I work as a Recreational Therapist with pediatric cancer patients. Each day I am reminded by the fact that life is too short. I try to live life to the fullest because you never know when things will change.
I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio. GO BUCKEYES! I moved to Chapel Hill for my job. Ever since I was diagnosed with cancer I have always wanted to give back. Moving here to work with kids going through what I went through has been very rewarding.
I am the type of person who lives their dreams. I don’t let people tell me I that my dreams are unattainable. I like to step outside the box and do thing that others might be afraid to do, I have overcome a lot of fears this way. I am willing to try anything twice, Sometimes that is the only way to fully understand the experience. I enjoy life and try to have fun in everything I do.
I enjoy the simple things in life. I enjoy doing anything outdoors, I love taking walks in the evening with friends and my dog. I enjoy sitting on the beach watching the sunset. I enjoy reading a good book, or putting a puzzle together. I enjoy volunteering. My dog is a certified therapy dog, in the past I have taken her to nursing homes and hospitals to visit the patients. She loves it as well as the people she meets.
You've just read a piece of who I am, if you want to know more, feel free to email me to say hello.
Life is too short to waste...Live Life and Love Life! Follow your heart and do what makes you happy.
I support our troops! I remember them and thank them for my freedom and keeping me safe. I pray for all soliders and their families. I heard about "Remember Me" on youtube.com and knew I had to support it.

In Memory of Randy Pausch - he died July 25, 2008 from complications of his pancreatic cancer. This is something I believe everyone needs to watch at least once in their lifetime.
I have been training hard for the San Diego Rock & Roll Marathon on May 31st 2009 and am dedicating this marathon to family and friends who have battled or are currently battling cancer.
As part of my Rock 'n' Roll Marathon experience, I am helping raise funds for lifesaving cancer research.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is committed to finding cures for leukemia and related diseases and improving the lives of those affected by these diseases. This is an ambitious task and they need our help! All donations go directly to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Make Cures Happen.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society invests $61 million annually in support of more than 200 researchers, provides financial assistance to patients, sponsors scientific conferences around the country, produces educational materials and videos, and runs over 50 support groups nationwide. Because they receive no federal funding, they depend on us for continued support of these needed programs.
Please consider joining me in this experience by going to my Personal Fundraiser Page and making a donation.

Hola Mija! You'll never guess what I'm doing right now... go on guess! Wrong! I should be recovering from a much deserved hangover, but instead I am in Panera enjoying their fabulous free wi-fi to try to catch up on work... and homework. Ugh! You know that part of me that hated school? Yeah, it's still there. I only go to recitation now. Sometimes... when the weather's cloudy or on a quiz day. Ahhh... I love being me. :-)
For the record, in regards to the "dog licking the cake" graphic about half way down your page, posted by Elizabeth... if the dog really did lick the cake, then Happy Birthday would be spelled backwards!
