About VELVETTE VENDETTA

About Velvette Vendetta Velvette Vendetta was formed in the summer of 2006, since then the band has never stopped impressing crowds with their energetic and infectious live performances. The band strives to deliver both audio and visual pleasure to the audience. That has been the standard of Velvette Vendetta's performing art from the very beginning. Even with multiple movements within songs, the music is relatively simple to keep the grunge flavor which enables the band to deliver intensive performance on stage. With their hard works and their mesmerizing live performance, the band had their two tracks featured in the compilation CD released by the infamous HK indie show organizer, The Underground HK. The band also got their first taste of oversea gigging experience in Manila, Philippines during Spring 2009. In August, the band will march to Singapore to perform at the Asia largest rock festival, Baybeats 2009.

Velvette Vendetta's new EP "Beautiful Vision Distorted" was released on May 1st 2009. Beautiful Vision Distorted is the concept of revealing the dark side of gracefulness. Within two years, Velvette Vendetta's has successfully injected this concept in their works: from lyrics, song writing style, artworks to the band's attitude. Velvette Vendetta inherits the arrangement of classical music which consists of multiple movements with dramatic changes. With this structure the band delivers a mixture of various elements with unforeseen twist throughout a song. Velvette Vendetta's song themes are mysterious yet it eventually leads audiences to discover the exclusive meaning behind them. Topics often relate to romance, death, religion conflicts, politics and social issues. The EP consists of 5 songs: "Too Late", "A Gloomy Day For A Funeral Of My Friend", "Night Before The Snow Storm", "La Chanson de Départ" & "A Very Pale Rose". 5 songs in the EP showcases Velvette Vendetta's various musical arrangement with elements such as grunge, arena rock, gothic, classical and even folk influence can be found in the above tracks.

Sabby BASSious	Jul 31 2009 9:53 AM I've got these 2 so far... 1) Barfly by Buddha Bar - it's at Clarke Quay, river valley road. 2) Prive restaurant, Bar and cafe - Keppel Bay Vista. i've never been to either but the interior and atmosphere looks good :)
