Beaujolais and Thanksgiving Wines
Yes, Beaujolais Nouveau gets most of the hype, and we'll certain be pouring some. BUT, you really should know about the great Cru Beaujolais. These wines can be profound, and are still great values. We'll be pouring several. We'll also have a lineup of superb wines for your Thanksgiving meal. If that's not enough, we have a Reserve Flight of 4 awesome single-vineyard Burgundies, 3 of them Premier Cru, from Nuits-Saint-Georges. So, you're out of excuses not to come- be there!

Loire Whites and Southern Rhone Reds
France's Loire Valley is home to some of the world's greatest wines, including Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume and Vouvray. We'll be pouring these as well as more obscure regions like Cheverny and Quincy. Additionally, we'll be tasting the great reds (and two roses) of the Southern Rhone region. Home to one of the world's greatest wines, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, the Southern Rhone also has some more undiscovered areas that hold great value- Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Lirac, Tavel and more. We'll have these and some top '04 and '05 Chateauneuf-du-Papes!
Vendome in Toluca Lake is a wine store specializing in education and service. We believe that by educating our customers, and providing them the tools to expand their palate, their love of wine will only grow. Of course, the best way to do this is through tasting, and our Thursday night tastings are a great time to come on by. We center these nights around special themes, such as our explorations of "terroir" as well as blind head-to-heads from around the world, all within a very fair price range, typically only $2 per pour.
