You have to get that by working here on "the boards". The local boardwalk. If you want to work at a do your own thing for tips... Show up and get a lottery ID during the weekdays and come to the lottery Tuesday at 8:30 to get a vending or artist spot. A local buisness license is also required. That's at the brown building right behind the back parking lot of Fox Hills Mall in Culver City. The beach is for healing, sun and exercise...heals and gives energy. Vitamin D IS known to be the MOST potent fighting cancer antioxidant AND the best energy source along with WATER. (Drinking Water they have the new alkaline water here in front of Ocean Blue store near Sidewalk Cafe). There are too many HORMONES from genetic engineering, c'est la vie faux! But many fake acts such as implants and artificial hormones in the mix so it's not real. The men say "WE CAN TELL IF YOU ARE A FAKE BECAUSE YOU DON'T JIGGLE ENOUGH!" FOR YOU WITH THE IMPLANTS! The BEACH HAS A BODY BUILDING PEN. It's a great place to walk your dog here AT THE ALLOWED HOURS WITH A POOPER SCOOPER! It's a great place for a bicycle ride in the day. The park is CLOSED at dark. There is always someone new that doesn't know that yet. :) Tourists looked at old pictures, come here often getting shocked at the hundreds of homeless pushing carts and bicycle wagon trains, living in busses and campers... they see in one visit. Los Angeles has a homeless epidemic, much of California has this. It's more noticeable at the ocean where people always TRY and stay because of the chance to get a life if someone here picks them up. You can see the evidence in the dumpsters where stuff is left behind that tells an eviction story. Whoops! It costs a lot to live at the beach. One lady parking to see the California Dream Place screamed at a hippie "Do you live in the bus?!" He immediately lied and said "We don't live in the bus, we are just visiting" He had been visiting that parking lot all day for 13 years. No one wants a camping or residing in a vehicle ticket! She was a tourist from Florida and asked a question out of her shock that was just plain nosy and could get him in trouble. Movie and rock stars dine here at the SideWalk Cafe. Tons of filming is done here most days at one end of Venice Beach or the other. From Rose Parking Lot North side of Venice to the Southside, Windward/Venice Parking Lot Paris Hilton came here for a bike ride a few days before jail. Lot's of surfing and sand, ocean and working out activities to join. Walking, skating and bicycling clubs of a hundred or so come by. With the law...This boardwalk here in Venice Beach is honoring the land deed committment of a dead man (Abbot Kinney himself) "in his deed stipulates that this beach is left with a 120 squares to make a public expression freedom statement". That got retranslated into a place to vend handmade goods or street perform for tips. It's not a true open market and based on artistic acts and vending artistic creations. The theme is meant to be artistic, musical, or cultural. Most of the artists are not that good but often quite enjoyable to tourists that like to boardwalk and people watch. It's not a night life here like the East Coast. At dark, it's over entirely unless you are in the few bars open. The bathrooms shut down around dusk. The homeless pee and poop all over the streets and up against walls, there is rain here only a few days a year. It's a biological disaster for health. Scabies and Staph are rampant. ALL restaurant and coffee shops (many of which have no restroom facilities) will make you buy something to use the bathroom and after dark the boardwalk and ocean area shuts down with the exception of 3 bars at opposite ends of the boardwalk. The remainder of people here after dark are generally homeless people of all sorts, many of them formerly successful or young and strong and those days have passed.......... Below is a musician who feels certain he was Sir Issac Newton in his past life, and I think so too, he's been playing out here for several years daily. There are people that live outside here.     There's one bookstore on the boardwalk next to SideWalk Cafe. It's a very relaxing place in the bookstore, the SideWalk Cafe is a trip though. There's a secret...it's the hideout of the stars. Nobody expects them to be there because Hollywood is 10 miles east. They come out to the beach though and when they do they eat at 2 places. Danny's Deli or Sidewalk Cafe. It's hit or miss to see some stars like Emminem,Keith Emerson (he lives in Santa Monica) or even Star Producers. People run up to me and tell me a star is close by and tell me what their name is. I can't remember most of them even when they are gone, but I have caught a few.

They ride all over Venice Beach also. It's unbelievable! Hear the cars honk! These guys really take over when they ride. -start- -stop- Here's the ridazz at Venice Circle, the beach is 2 blocks ahead but they like this circle at the Post Office. -start- -stop- Here at Venice Beach YOU SEE A LOT...if you live here, The parking lot attendants inform me too. The stars come here with the papparazzi chasing them by the dozens or more... Paris Hilton, Eminem, Keith Emerson,Michael Jackson, so many more, all came here while I was hanging around.
