I am a skatepark by the sea in sunny Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. I'm in search of friends and supporters. I was constructed by many volunteers over the last few years - and the Isle of Wight Council was threatening to demolish me "within days".
Skaters, BMXers and bladers of all ages have enjoyed using the Ventnor Skate Park, but now we need to get together to stop the Council destroying this community resource.
Ventnor SkatePark Support Group has been formed to meet the challenge of keeping the SkatePark open. Please show your support by adding us as friends. If you can offer more practical support, then do send us a message.

I think we should rebuild the ramp into a pirate ship, then anyone coming to try and take it down would get taken down themselves by our cannons. Then we could pull up our anchor's and sail off into the sunset.
