Tom Rubey finally has his appellate court date this Valentines Day. Tom has made a constitutional challenge to Minnesota’s custody statute and if he wins this could affect all non-custodial parents. He would appreciate anyone who can to attend the hearing. Tom has already been to the Minnesota Supreme Court and prevailed when the district court tried to prevent an appeal. Three groups have submitted friend of the court briefs on Tom’s behalf, so this is a high profile case. A large turnout at the hearing would show the judges that this issue matters to people. But please act very respectful in the courtroom and follow the guidelines for court watchers.
