Is banna traidisiúnta é Venue i atá ag teacht chun tosaigh anois i saol an cheoil i mBéal Feirste. Tá cúigear sa bhanna. Tháinig ceathrar acu le chéile i Méitheamh 2007 leis an dúil atá acu i gceol traidisiúnta na hÉireann a roinnt: Joe Murray (an fhidil), Austin Donnelly (feadóg stáin), Stephen Rooney (giotár) agus Niall Quinn (bodhrán). Is curaidh uile-Éireann iad Stephen agus Niall. Le chéile, cruthaíonn siad meascán ceoil atá beoga bríomhar agus a bhfuil luas iontach leis. Ina dhiaidh sin, tháinig Stephen Flanagan isteach sa bhanna lena bhosca ceoil agus anois tá an banna ag dul ó neart go neart. Tá ceol seinnte acu ar fud na hÉireann agus is iomaí lucht éisteachta ar chuir fuinneamh, scil agus díograis an bhanna seo faoi dhraíocht iad. Ná cailltear iad! .. .. Venue i is an up and coming traditional band based in Belfast. The band comprises five talented musicians who came together in June of 2007 with a shared passion for traditional Irish music. The unique partnership of melody between Joe Murray (fiddle) and Austin Donnelly (tin whistle) and with the backing of Stephen Rooney (guitar) and Niall Quinn (Bodhrán) who both are All Ireland champions created a driving pace to band that created a concoction of music that is euphoric to the ear. They have been joined latterly by Stephen Flanagan on accordion. Over the last year the band has begun to get to its feet and is progressively growing into a well known and enjoyed act. Venue i have played all over Ireland and have awed audiences with there energy, skill and enthusiasm for music and are an act not to be missed. .. .. ..Reviews.... North Coast Folk Festival.. Music was rounded off at the Anchor on Sunday by Belfast based ‘Venue I’ who, contrary to their young years have composed a large amount of their own material and who’s genuine passion for music became infectious during their breath – taking, fast paced set.
