Ritual posse and freewheel concept of the music business put Venus Bites out of any possibilities of commercial success. “V Of Venus” (1974) was the second album. Now the idea of a compilation like “Friday Morning Sound Therapy” tries to recover some classics recorders of that genius"

SPANISH: Venus Bites nació cual grupo de los 70 que iniciaba esos primeros avances en la música ambiental electrónica. Todo un spinal tap, ya que su progenitor era el baterista, escritor, periodista y melómano Sergio Guillén Barrantes, y compuso todo el material a lo largo de 2007. Eso sí, no perdió la oportunidad de dotar de cuerpo al background del proyecto. Esta fue la biografía ofrecida a este proyecto inicialmente fantasma:
“Pioneros de los 70. Venus Bites significa new age underground. Creaciones electrónicas a la caza de espacios vírgenes. Este proyecto fue bandera de una extraña y experimental generación. Nombres como Popol Vuh, Cluster, Tomita o Kitaro vienen a la cabeza cuando el oyente explora el mundo Venus Bites. Su primer LP “Unlike Bite Unlike Site!” (1972) rompía las reglas de los sintetizadores. Pose ritual y conceptos sin barreras en lo que se conocía como negocio musical pusieron a Venus Bites fuera de cualquier posibilidad comercial. “V Of Venus” (1974) sería su segundo álbum. Ahora la idea de una compilación como “Friday Morning Sound Therapy” intenta recobrar algo de esas grabaciones clásicas de aquellos genios”.
Pues ahí está, el spinal tap electrónico toma forma... aunque realmente esto no es una broma. Todo lo contrario, ya que intenta acercarse a las bases de la electrónica más primaria generada en los años 70. En estos momentos, y entre otros proyecto de su autor, se encuentra el grabar nuevo material para una continuación de “Friday Morning Sound Therapy”.
