Think about this:
All those European cathedrals built in the Middle Ages like St. Paul's, Notre Dame and Chartres, were all built with hand-cut stone and NO CEMENT. And they are archetecturally sound enough that they don't cave in. Think about building those magnificant cathedrals in the Middle Ages (ca.500-1500AD) with no electricity (no lights), no mechanization, a hammer and chisel to cut the stones, and NO CEMENT. I can hardly think about living in the Middle Ages at all without shuddering. I think European cathedrals rival the Pyramids in architectural ingenuity.
You are so wicked.
You know that?
You know who you are...
Yes, you...*wink*

Movies
My favorite movies are psychological/supernatural horror/thriller movies, especially with twist endings. I don't really like slasher movies or action movies because I don't care for the violence. But I have a really diverse taste in movies and I'm flexible and open minded and will give most movies a chance as long as they achieve their purpose.
I like fantasy films...especially those Medieval, knights/maidens/dragons, dark, dank castles, Arthurian Legend, and Holy Relic kind of fantasies...especially those filmed in Wales, Scotland, or like the Cotswolds, or the English countryside, etc. Northern Italy's got some great landscape too. I like to stay and read all the credits, especially to see shooting locations. I like breathtaking scenery and costumery as well as a good story.
I like indie and foreign films. I like serious science fiction if it is challenging to my intellect, like Farenheit 451, THX1138, Soylent Green, Planet of the Apes, and the Andromeda Strain. But I also like 1950's sci-fi and horror schlock like (the original) The Day the World Stood Still (Klaatu Barata Nikto, y'all), The Body Snatcher (with Boris and Bela), The Braniac, The Head That Wouldn't Die, I Eat Your Skin, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and those old Vincent Price/Poe classics with dungeons and torture chambers, like The Pit and the Pendulum.
I like Peter Sellers, Oliver Reed, Michael Caine, F.W. Murnau, Fritz Lang, and Roman Polanski movies. I guess Johnny Depp is my favorite actor. I usually like anything he is in. He's such a good actor; he's so diverse, and he's just great in anything he's in. And he's not all full of himself like most actors are. He's humble and unpretentious. And yeah, he's gorgeous, but so is David Duchovny, only he can't act. (Neither can Brendan Fraser or Keanu Reeves...arghhh!)
Some of my favorite movies are: What the Bleep Do We Know?, Psycho, Brokeback Mountain, Braveheart, Legend, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Wuthering Heights, Dr. Zhivago, Reds, Splendor in the Grass, Ryan's Daughter, 2001:A Space Odyssey, Lolita, The Shining (I like Kubrick), Fearless Vampire Killers, The Trial of Billy Jack (yes, now let's not be judgemental...I can hear what you're thinking), Legends of the Fall, Trinity & Beyond, Apocalypse Now, Forrest Gump, Little Big Man, National Lampoons's Vacation and Christmas Vacation, Chocolat, Circle of Two, M Butterfly, Silent Running, Logan's Run, Harold and Maude, I'll be There, Young Frankenstein, Rosemary's Baby, Carnival of Souls (1962), The Last Picture Show, Sunset Boulevard, F.W. Murnau's Faust and Nosferatu(1922), and Shadow of the Vampire, which is about the making of Nosferatu.
Television
I love the History channel, the Discovery channel, and The National Geographic channel, (but dont have cable anymore) PBS, Public Access TV, and movies. Other programs I like to watch: Ren & Stimpy, the X-Files, old episodes of the Twilight Zone, documentaries about western religion, conspiracies, the New World Order, the tri-lateral commission, governmental coverups, secret societies throughout history, the freemasons, the Knights Templar, Medieval history and the history of Europe as a whole, Arthurian and Grail legends, esoterica in general, and things like that.I love to watch the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Books
Holy Blood, Holy Grail, Erceldoune and Other Stories, and Grey Magic by Richard Leigh, Richard Leigh and Michael Baigent's occult history books, Stephen King's older work, Joseph Campbell, most fiction, a lot of non-fiction, historical fiction, plausable/human nature centered science fiction, Quantum Physics, classical and modern literature, Mythology, horror, philosophy, psychology, biographies, the dictionary, the thesaurus, encyclopedias, the Bible and books that discuss the Bible and apocryphal texts, or canons exluded from the Bible, Esoteric texts, Jewish Mysticism, comparative religion, and religious history/history of Christianity and its influence on the development of Europe, speculative religious history, esoterica, poetry, Gothic literature like the Brontes, Emily Dickinson, Poe, Yeats, archaic fairy tales, Nietzsche, Dean Radin, Gary Schwartz, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Deepak Chopra, The Field and The Intention Experiment by Lynne McTaggart, The Passover Plot by Schoenfield, The Word by Irving Wallace, Sacajawea by Anna Lee Waldo, The Thornbirds by Colleen McCullough, sometimes just some light reading like Proust or Joyce, and exploring and discovering new authors all the time. I love collecting quotes. I just love to read.
Heroes

You were an angel here on Earth, and I know you are still that angel no matter where you may be now. I wish I had seen it in you sooner. Say, "Hi" to Mom for me. I miss you so much.

~No expectations = no disappointments~
I grew up in Central Arizona, in a patch of desert called "11 Mile Corner." I had a very mystical life, complimented by a trailer trash environment. I am clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient, a medical intuitive and an empath. (as we all are ~ because we are all the same ONE) I have an interest in holistic healing and because of the influence of these states on my spiritual development, intend to cultivate my inherent healing facilities. I follow a very personal spiritual path and have read Tarot Cards for over 35 years. I am a very versatile person and have very diverse interests. I'm a little off center, but I like that. So, I'm old, and I'm finally getting used to myself. It's all good. I know my family loves me, but they tend to describe me as weird and crazy. I don't believe in labels but I have to admit I'm kind of proud of those.
I played guitar, sang, and wrote songs in Country Western and Bluegrass bands of some form or another for 35 years. I still play guitar, sing, and write, but I write more poetry than songs these days. Lately I have been working on a new musical project and have started to play my guitar and sing again.
I graduated the University of Arizona in 1984 and became an elementary school teacher for 10 years. I taught 5 yrs. on the Gila River Indian Reservation until my nerves gave out.
Then I opened an Herb Shop/ Metaphysical Supplies/ Mexican Yerberia (which is herbs and Mexican magic) called "Casa de Milagros."("House of Miracles").
Then I ran a thrift store until at 40 I got arthritis so bad in my hips, I had to have hip replacements in both of my hips. Now, they're good as new. :)
I have a 23 yr. old daughter, a 4 yr. old granddaughter, and my adult niece. They are what keep me going, especially since my only sister died of a drug overdose, involving meth and psyche meds, in 2005. She was my best friend.
I'm retired now, and I enjoy talking to my daughter, granddaughter, and niece, reading, writing, watching TV and movies, socializing, swimming and working out, volunteering - mostly running a camera and doing other Media Broadcasting technical stuff down at the local public access TV station, Bluegrass jams, open mics, and hanging out on MySpace with my friends. I don't own a car so I spend a lot of time on the bus because I do like to get out and do things. Although I do like being alone at times, I also enjoy being with my friends talking and laughing and just having a good time.
I FINALLY GOT A COMPUTER...BACK IN BUSINESS!
I like rain and I love snow. I love being around trees. I like to go out to eat. I "eat life" as if it were a salad bar closing in 10 minutes. I love learning new things. I love going to yard sales, thrift stores and bookstores (new or used) or spending hours in a rock shop working on attracting that 'just right' crystal or stone. (I collect crystal balls.) I love to travel and learn new things about anything and everything. I really like everything but sports, but I'd still hang out with you and have a cold one (most likely iced coffee...I am a friend of Bill W.) while you might be watching something like football, because I prioritize my friendships and the people in my life over a TV show or something as transient as that. I love intimate interactions with other people and enjoy interchanges of energy with other humans. Humans are so fascinating.
I’m accepting, tolerant, extremely open-minded, and appreciate people for the person that they really are and not for their looks or possessions or the team they root for. I'm apolitical and omnitheistic. I like to drink coffee and talk, be with my friends, and meet new people. I'm shy at first but very outgoing once I feel comfortable with someone. I'm extremely straightforward and honest, and I like sensuousness and love sex. I like to play and have fun, but I also like sometimes to express love and tenderness through sex. Sex is just an all around good thing, but it’s always the sweetest and most satisfying feeling being lovers when it's with your friends though. :D
My dream is to one day go back to school and study Western Religion and its influence on the history, philosophy, psychology, and development of Western Europe, or become a curandismo or massage therapist, or neurophysiologist - nuclear biologist/physicist...Can't really decide what I want to be when I grow up...I want it all! Right now, I volunteer running a TV camera at Tucson's public access TV station, but I don't know where all that may lead in practical terms, because I suffer from bipolar and anxiety disorder, and some other medical challenges, although as much as possible, I don't let them get in the way of my living life. Those things, plus my age and the money, can sometimes make going back to school seem like quite a challenge to me. Plus, sometimes, I get a little wacky. But I tend to be a lucky kind of person and my motto is, "Stranger things have happened."
I'd like to visit Italy, Central and Western Europe, especially the United Kingdom.
~Everything is One ~ Separateness is an Illusion~
I believe we are the creators of our own Universe and that everything always seems to work out right in the end. I know that the Creative Intelligence of the Universe knows what it's doing, so I TRY not to worry a lot. I TRY to let the Creative Intelligence of the Universe take care of things. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and I have an awe and a childlike wonderment and innocence about things. But this quality, while I cherish it deeply, causes me to be somewhat gullible at times. I'm very sensitive and cry easily. My heart gets broken a lot because I tend to trust too easily. But I'm finally getting used to, and learning to accept and embrace all qualities of myself, so I bounce back much more quickly these days. :*)
I believe that what does not come from love, comes from fear. Love is life-enhancing and fear is life-diminishing. Yes, I still feel a wide range of emotions stemming from my fears, but I am grateful to feel my feelings these days and give myself permission to be human and feel. I'm also a touchy-feely type of person because I love the interchange of energy that comes from touching.
I believe that everything is happening all at once, everything is everything and "everything" is known as what we call "God," actually something that trancends human expression. Separateness is only a convenient illusion for our benefit in this dimension.
WHY I QUIT TEACHING...
"Love...feel it, make it, do it, be it, write it."
"Love is the impulse to give."
"Love is staying up all night with a sick child...or a healthy adult."
"Living well is the best revenge."
"There are no failures in life, only successful lessons in what hasn't worked so far."
"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, rather about learning to dance in the rain."
"Make me laugh, make me think, make me dream."
"You've got to dance like nobody's watching; sing like nobody's listening; work like you don't need the money; and love, love, love like you've never been hurt."
"A poet is an unhappy being whose heart is torn by secret sufferings, but whose lips are so strangely formed that when the sighs and the cries escape them, they sound like beautiful music... and then people crowd about the poet and say to him: "Sing for us soon again;" that is as much as to say, "May new sufferings torment your soul."" -Soren Kierkegaard
BTW...a special message to a special friend... you are still, and will always remain my friend. It's ok.

I’ll Burn a Candle For You, Baby
If you turned around you’d look right past me.
You don’t know my face or name.
And you don’t know how much you need me.
But I still need you all the same.
Sometimes your thoughts may pass right through me.
You think they all belong to you.
And you don’t know that you’ve just touched me.
But I’ll prove my Magick true.
I’ll burn a candle for you, baby.
I’ll be the wind whistling in your ear.
I’ll be a fairy on your shoulder.
I’ll be waiting for you here.
One day your time will come to leave me.
No one around to hear me cry
for all the years you never knew me.
I’ll burn a candle to say, “Good-bye.”
I’ll burn a candle for you, baby.
I’ve been the wind whistling in your ear.
I’ve been a fairy on your shoulder.
I’ve been waiting for you here.
I’ll forever be waiting for you here.
The Funeral
She stood weeping softly
like all the others,
her veiled head bowed reverently,
lost in thought.
She tightly clutched the thorny rose
in her bleeding hand.
It’s color and her blood blended seamlessly
against her simple black dress and bag.
The vicar droned his solemn eulogy,
and of course, a light rain began to fall.
She could not say good-bye
without the sky’s tears to help
quench the fires in her empty soul.
One by one, the bereaved stepped up
to the dismal abysm there before them.
Each mourner sadly tossed in a momento
of their beloved’s life,
some a flower, some a book, some a fountain pen.
Some even poured in a pint.
Tears still running wildly down her sallow cheeks,
she stepped up to the chasm
and tossed in her now wilted blood-stained rose.
She paused. She paused very close to the edge
of the abyss. Almost simultaneously, she
opened her little black purse and pulled out a gun
and stated, “I cannot stay here without you.”
Swiftly, she put the gun to her veiled head,
pulled the trigger, folded forward,
and was quickly swallowed up by the
dark, enigmatic vacuum of eternity,
into his waiting arms.
~ According to legend, the snowflake was formed from the tears that Demeter cried after Persephone's decent into the Underworld. The microscopic flakes have six sides, and since six is the number associated with affection, the snowflake was used as a winter symbol for love. ~

I responded: "Please, take care of the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them very much" The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginning, but not its end. This message works on the day you receive it. Let us see if it is true. ANGELS EXIST but sometimes, since they don't all have wings, we call them TRUE FRIENDS. Pass this on to your true friends. Something good will happen to you at 11:11 in the evening; something that you have been waiting to hear. Do not break this prayer; send it to a minimum of 11 people including me!!!!"
P.S....You are truly a sweet friend. Thank you Hugs Sandy♥
