The Girl Gets Boy but finds Patterns are necessary and finds signals in the distance and Vera is born.
Vera, The Ghost started in the coldest part of December 2008 after the breaking up of the short lived post rock band "Signals in the Distance". Still wanting to continue playing music, Tony and Dan began writing music on keys/drums until Tony called a few of his old "Patterns" band members for support, getting first Leslie and then Jeremy. With the four of them together, the band was finally complete.
The name comes from Oscar Wilde's first play "Vera; or the Nihilists", which is Dan's favorite author.
