Known to thousands all across the world, D.J. and Producer duo, "the Verdugo Brothers," have been described by many who have witnessed their unique style & presentation as being explosive, provocative & dynamic. With their precision mixing abilities, unique track selection, and good vibes, these two brothers are here to find out one thing. What does it take to move YOU?
The Verdugo Brothers are Marcos and Antonio, born and raised in a small city in Northern California. The Verdugo Brothers were originally introduced to Southern California's, "Los Angeles rave scene," back in 1997. It was that very year that inspired the Brothers to pick up their first set of turntables and a mixer. Countless hours of practice ensued and eventually, the Brothers began organizing their own events as there were no other platforms to showcase their talents within their own city. Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of their humble beginning, is the fact that they both shared very similar taste in dance music, but with enough deviation in style to compliment each other exceptionally well.
Currently, the Verdugo Brothers are focused on releasing their first national mix CD, "Unforgettable Nights," through Moist Music, set to be released March 3rd, 2009. This marks yet another milestone in the Brothers promising career in dance music. They are also working on releasing their very first album sometime in 2009. Both the mix CD and their debut album will include their hit singles, "Run From You" featuring the talented "Kaysee" of Malaga, Spain and "One Seven" featuring the equally talented, "Ray Isaac" of Sydney, Australia. The "Unforgettable Nights" tour is set to unfold in 2009, with their first date in South Texas' McAllen on New Year's Eve, followed by another date in Denver, Colorado - March 14th, 2009.
By the end of 2008, The Verdugo Brothers had travelled all over the planet, performing with the Grammy Award winning legend, "Moby" on Jesolo Beach in Jesolo / Venice, Italy in front of 14,000 screaming fans; Rocked Club Red in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Set the Bain Mathieu in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on fire; Crushed Wet Grooves at the Opium Garden in Miami, Florida; Tore the roof off The Gathering in Denver, Colorado, which has been a regular stop for the Brothers; and on to the World Famous Lizard Lounge in Dallas, Texas; Performed multiple times in the Southern Tip of Texas(McAllen & Edinburg), which has also been a regular stop; the infamous On Broadway in San Diego, California; Club Blu in El Paso, Texas; Club Masquerade in Reno, Nevada; Rocked The Works in Reading, Pennsylvania; Bambuddha Lounge in San Francisco, California; the Pearl Night Club in Dayton, Ohio; a stop in Cleveland, Ohio & also cozy Ashland, Oregon.
The Verdugo Brothers remixed the "Domino Project" for the movie, "Domino," starring Mickey Rourke, Kiera Knightley, and Lucy Liu amongst others, back in 2005. They landed their own radio spot on Clear Channel's "Power 94 FM" every Friday night; completed a remix called, "Thrill Factor," featuring JD Davis, the vocalist behind David Guetta's, "World is Mine." With careful planning, they launched their own label, "Estilo Recordings" in 2006 and used their keen sense of timing to release their first EP on their own label, "Freaky Rhythm," which was an instant success. They hit number one on the Dancerecords.com charts for several weeks in a row, as well as hitting the top 10 on the World Dance Music Charts (DMC). Their follow up EP would be a collaboration with world renowned dj/producer "Charles Feelgood" and the rapper Juvenile's producers "Get in Line" to produce the hit EP "Down For You," which hit number one on dancerecords.com charts for multiple weeks in a row. Then in 2007, the Verdugo Brothers caught the attention of world-renowned producer, "Tony Thomas," who signed two tracks to his label, "Shiva Records," one of which hit the Balance Record Pool Charts' top 15. The Verdugo Brothers have also completed several remixes for labels from Denmark, Germany, England and various others.
The Verdugo Brothers have always maintained the same goal when it comes to performing and that is to create that magical vibe, through careful programming and meticulous track selection. Their energetic performances have captivated many audiences and left people walking away both inspired and truly satisfied. With a burning bright future ahead, the Verdugo Brothers will continue to spread their good vibes and their passion for quality dance music, conquering cities & countries all over the map, one dance floor at a time.
