Between the two of us we listen to just about every kind of music and it's all influenced us in some way. When we were younger artists like Hilary Duff, Christina Aguilera, and the Spice Girls inspired us to take piano and voice lessons. Now our inspiration comes from bands like Tegan & Sara, Death Cab For Cutie, Anna Nalick, Gregory And The Hawk, The Kooks, Eisley, The Beatles, KT Tunstall, Modest Mouse, The Nextdoor Neighbors, The New Pornographers, Regina Spektor, Vanessa Carlton, Coldplay, A Fine Frenzy, Paramore and so many others!
VerleeRose is... Keira Verlee and Ellie Rose. We are two 15 year old singer/songwriters from Seattle, WA.
We met as new students at a Seattle area middle school in 2005. Both of us loved music and had piano & voice lessons. We became friends instantly!
During 6th grade we shared the same piano and vocal teacher and became part of “the most talented 6th grade choir group" our school had ever seen. It was then that we decided we would make music together someday.
In the summer of 2006 we both switched to guitar lessons, again from the same teacher, and we totally fell in love with it!
Then in 2008 we wrote and performed our first song together for our 8th grade graduation ceremony. It was at that moment we realized we really were going to make music together.
We spent last summer writing songs and rehearsing and then recorded our debut album at The Old Firehouse Media Lab in Redmond, WA. We are very excited to offer you 3 tracks from this recording here on Myspace.

3 years ago my mother was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. At that time, like most people, I had only "heard of" Lou Gehrig's Disease but had no idea what it was. Today, my mother's only got 2 weeks to 2 months left to live. She's lost her speach & ability to move 90% of her body while her brain remains fully thinking and emotional.
Please help me raise the world's awarness of ALS while making a few bucks to help find a cause/cure.
