About me: Founded in 1922, Vermilion Community College is a two-year residential college located in Ely, MN on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). Our students come from across the country to study in this geographic location-a beautiful setting that significantly contributes to the college experience we offer our students.
Vermilion Community College is unique.
First, our college’s faculty and administration strive to provide a quality education in an environment that emphasizes a personal interest in you. Second, Vermilion is a residential college, which means we operate our own residence halls and have a complete Residence Life program. Finally, Vermilion overlooks one of the most beautiful wilderness regions in North America-the million acre BWCAW.

Heyo. I'm coming up to VCC next fall for W/W Law Enforcement and I'm so excited. I'm looking for info on jobs in Ely. I'd like a part-time job while attending. Do many students work during the year? If anyone's got any info from experience or otherwise, let me know please =) I'm really excited.
hey vcc! '94 alum here who's got a new band that is looking forward to playing at cranberry's when it reopens as the boat house...check us out at http://www.myspace.com/fourhorsejohnson see you there!
I just had to take this opportunity to express to all at VCC and anyone thinking about attending VCC that it was the greatest place for me to go to college. The whole experience living in the northwoods, having small class sizes with instructors who were so willing to work with each student one on one was such a special way to spend the first two years of my college career. My success at Harvard can only be contributed to my time at Vermilion and especially to that caring, supportive Residence Life lady!! Thank you, Vermilion. Thank you!
Hey! I would just like to say that I believe VCC to be the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I feel that I have truly blossomed during my time here, and will be forever grateful to the wonderful administrators and faculty members that make the atmosphere of this school so darn great. Jeepers! Have a good day~ Mary
I'm here to honor a man, son, soldier, friend, and hero that attended Vermilion. He was a dear friend of mine. His stay here on Earth was cut short March 10, 2004. I think of him daily and miss him dearly. Please honor his memory.
