File under vaudioville, variete concrete, documentary forgery, unsound art, whorespiel, blunderphonics, (not of this) world music, imaginary soundtreks & unimaginative soundtracks.
Vernon & Burns are a duo of sound makers who create radio plays, records and performances through an innovative blend of samples, field recordings, storytelling and music. They have performed across Europe and have produced radio programmes and sound works for the BBC, VPRO, Resonance FM, WFMU, and The Audible Picture Show. Their debut LP “The Tune the Old Cow Died of” was released on the Gagarin label with a follow up due for release in 2008. A radio session recorded for VPRO is due for release on Staalplaat’s Mort Aux Vaches series. They have also recorded as Boy Band Tax Returns on the Ultra Eczema label.
Mr. Vernon was a founding member of Glasgow’s pirate art radio collective, ‘Radio Tuesday’ and is one third of ‘Hassle Hound’ who have records released on Pickled Egg, Textile and Staubgold.
Mr. Burns has a layman’s ear.

I was cleaning the floor and it was incredibly boring and exhausting. Whatever, i always do the cleaning, so I had to do it. Suddenly I asked myself: Was Stockhausen cleaning the floor? The answer was, NO, of course, he had 9 wives to do it and maybe a milion of servants with very precised tasks only concerning the horizontal cleaning (another team was probably affected to vertical parts)
SO I stopped, I went into the kitchen, made some tea with fresh mint and relaxed.
I never will wash the floor anymore. Unless someone do it or tell me that Stockhausen was washing his floor or that there was no floor in his house
