About Vern's

We provide a one of a kind forum for independent music. You can book a date, set the line up and promote the show how you know best. Every single penny of the door money is yours. We provide you with some extra promo, all our sound gear, sound tech and a rad venue to play.

We are open to music of all genres, and as you can see from our list of bands, Vern's has had pretty much everything.

We dig charity events. So if you want to get together with the bands you know to raise some money for a needy cause, then bring it on. Our latest charity event was the Rock For Tots brought to you by the Calgary Beer Core. Check out the video and maybe you might shave your curly locks off too…

Some of you may remember us as the Barfly, or even T.A. Vern's.

We have moved to a great new location in the heart of downtown Calgary, on 8th Ave, across from the Globe Theatre, down, down, down in the basement. We have tons of space, a great sound system and one of the best sound tech's in the city.

Vern's is owned and operated by Clint, Ian and Trent, beautified by the lovely Shelly and Alisha.

We have featured artwork by a local graphic designer, our very own Elorps. Check out his stuff at www.elorps.com.

FANTASTIC FOOD

If you want to fill your belly with lots of good food for cheep, then come down for lunch or plan to have supper at Vern's if you are already coming down to see a show…helps to mop up to booze in your gut!
