  • I went to Portugal when I was a kid, but don’t remember much from the trip, so, I wanted to revisit the home of the man responsible for discovering a way around the Americas, which later lead to Trade routes with the west. It's amazing that so much of our global exploration can be attributed to this small European country. The Purtuguese contributions to navigation and exploration was crucial to our global history. I logged on to my favorite site, global-escapes.net to see what availability there was. We ended up getting a hotel in Lisbon, a city that is circled by neighborhoods with a medieval charm that were originally a fortress. There are monuments everywhere and with the ports and marinas, water sports are quite popular. This was an amazing vacation for us with plenty to see - and definitely ranked high on my list of favorite global escapes. The landscape of Portugal changes from high, sweeping cliffs to white sand beaches as you near the coastal regions. The villages on the coasts were fought over with the Moors during the crusades. The city of Estoril is a popular tourist area because of the casino, golf course, and racing track. We also visited Santarem, a castle of Roman origin that over looks Portas do Sol; which translates to Sun Gates.

Hi everyone I live in Eden Prairie. , Do you just have one of those days where you wished you never got out of bed. That’s exactly how I feel today. Besides waking up and not feeling all that great, I have to deal with a husband that refers to anything he does as a favor to me. I never say that even when it’s clearly a favor being done, because he doesn’t want to do it. But of course he justifies himself one way or another and there’s no use in bringing it up or even trying to discuss it.
I wish I could just go away and stay away until I see fit. Of course to do that I better have everything covered, so he won’t have to do a thing. We wouldn’t want any favors to be done. Get away, it’ll never happen. It’s plainly clear that I have no time for me, since having a child. I am not telling you are my complaint. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I have a child, but time for me …. forget it. It’s always just easier if I want to do something, I’ll have the child in tow, so not to disturb anyone else’s time. I could never get my husband to see it from my point a view. Yes, he works long hours and spends a lot of time on the road. I couldn’t agree more about that, but I have long days too. I work all day and come home and start a whole other job. If I just sit down for a half hour when I get home, it just prolong what needs to be done and will just take me longer to finish my day. I just can’t come home from work and be done for the day. And of course I’ve just made things worse for myself by having another child. I really don’t know what I’m going to do when I have another one to take care of. I guess I’ll just have to go crazy like the rest of all mothers around the world. I need to use Global escapes to go stay at somewhere nice for a month or so at my next vacation.

I’ve been also receiving some emails from my sister. I can’t believe that she quit smoking. She has been smoking cigarette for more than 15 years. Well, it is good things for everyone to stop smoking. I remember when I was a kid, I saw the picture of lungs of some smokers. Very nasty!! Anyways, I am really happy that my sister quit smoking. One of these days, she’ll be a mother. What smoking can do is probably beyond our belief. My sister also told me that she might be coming over to Texas using Global Escapes’ deal . She’s told me bunch of complaint in the past about long boring flight. However, last I heard from her was quite positive. She is thinking about staying at somewhere closer to our place. I think it’ll be a great idea. Whenever she stayed at our place, usually after 2 weeks, we started getting on each others nerve and start fighting and stuff. I think if she stayed out side of our home, it’ll be more beneficial for all of us. I bet she’ll definitely have a better time. I’ve been thinking about how to accommodate the driving situation. Since she may not find a place in walking distance, every time she goes to somewhere, I have to pick her up. I am hoping that will not become a huge inconvenience for us. We’ll see. Anyways, I should stop worrying about what conveniences are and start getting excited about her visit. We definitely have to take her to the local ice cream place we like!!

Hello everyone, I have to tell you some complaints about my life. We live in San Antonio Texas. I’ll share about my bitter experience today. Car seats, what a pain in the neck. What a rip-off. People don’t give a second thought about car seats when they have kids. When we had our first child, neither of our cars would accommodate a car seat legally. When we brought our son home for the first time we were all jammed up into the dashboard to give the recommended space around the car seat. It was the most uncomfortable trip home that I’ve ever experienced, especially since I had had a c-section. I just sat there waiting for the trip to end, so my knees could get out of my stomach. We finally decided to buy a van. Now I have the mommy van and plenty of room for myself and the kids. But not everyone out there can just go out there and buy a new vehicle just because they had a baby. Don’t get me wrong, we just didn’t pop out there and buy a new car, because we have loads of money. We were already in the mind set of getting a van, because we wanted more than one child. I my opinion there must be hundreds of people driving around compromising their children’s safety, because they don’t have the right car. Car seat manufactures need to take into consideration what the average family has as a mode of transportation. Most families do not drive big vehicles. Only the rich can afford those types of cars. I would say the average family drives a mid-size and smaller and that’s what needs to be thought of when designing a car seat. Man, I need some vacations with Global Escapes again!!

I’ll share some story today about little complaint we have. It’s about convenience. We recently had a new gas station pop up in the neighborhood. I’m not usually happy to see another gas station, but this is very competitive in pricing and in a convention location for a change. I used it one time with no incident. I then used it on another day where I was pushed for time. Well, that’s when it started. For whatever reason, I’m became stupid and keyed in the wrong zip code to confirm that it was really my card at the pump. Of course it didn’t except it and then it dawned on me what I had done. I then keyed in my right zip code. Nope, it wouldn’t accept that one either and wanted me to come inside to swipe my card. I was upset, because I didn’t have time for that, but figured it was my fault for first keying in the wrong zip code. I tried not to dwell on it and figured it wouldn’t happen again. Well, well, well, guess what? It did happen again. It didn’t even accept the right zip code when keyed right from the first time. It was an awful day too, because it was raining and windy and now I had to go in to swipe my card. I want to pay at the pump for the convenience, not go inside and get wet and waste more time doing a task that I hate to do as it is. I hate pumping gas and would rather do anything in the world than that. So here I go again back inside and I was going to get some answers this time. The first person I came across blamed the weather for the problem. I’m like NO, that’s not the problem and then said if it was snowing outside, it still wouldn’t work. I was standing there waiting for a reasonable answer, but she was sticking to her guns that it was the weather and the other girl agreed with her. Needless to say a Manager got involved then, because I was not moving. He first asked what my zip was and then said that he’s reported this issue to the company several times and they’re aware of the problem. I looked at the girl that gave me a stupid reason and she knew she should’ve of made excuses like that without knowing the facts. The Manager wanted to go with me to the pump and try, but of course it was the same result for him. He took the card back in and I pumped my gas. I went in after finishing and he gave me a number to call to report the issue. He gave me a little free gift for my troubles, but what made the difference was that he took the time with me to help and not blow me off. Of course when I called the company, they took the normal information like my name and number and said they would get maintenance on it. We’ll see the next time I need to fill up if they took care of it. If I have to call again, someone is going to get a real blasting and it won’t be pretty. You know, after all, I probably just need to get out here, San Antonio, Texas, to go to some vacations. Hey Global Escapes, Help me out here!!

We had a family trip going to Eden Prairie last year for helping moving my relatives. We used Global-escapes.net to get really great deals. I have never felt like I was getting a rip-off by them. I never want to move again. I’ve moved twice in my life and I’m done with moving. The last move was a total pain in the backside. I feel bad, because really there wasn’t much I could do because I was pregnant at the time; but it was a pain just the same. With our last move, we moved from an apartment to a house. I think it wouldn’t of been so bad if we weren’t on the second floor at the apartment. I think that just makes the job a whole lot worse. It was during the month of May which made it hot as you know what, so that didn’t help either. I had no problem packing things up, but I couldn’t move them around once I had done it. Then of course according to my husband I wasn’t packing quick enough. Moving is always stressful on a marriage I think. I have a friend moving right now and he says their fighting like cats and dogs right now. I told just expect it, that’s what happens until you get in your new place. Then again, you fight when you get there, because everything needs to be unpacked. I hope we don’t have to move for a very, very long time. And if we do need to move again, I want to use movers to do it if we can afford it. That way all the pressure is off us. We’ll have more stuff on the next move, because we’ll have two kids and no telling what else. I’m not looking forward to it. I would be in denial if I said we’ll never move again. That’s just apart of life.

I have five and half weeks left at work before going on maternity leave. I don’t know if should be happy or cry. I’ll be the proud mother of a sixteen month old and a brand new baby all at the same time. I truly worry about if I’ll be able to handle it. Right now my fourteen month old is giving me a hard time and I can only imagine what he’ll be like when the new baby arrives. I just don’t know how I’m going to manage the both of them. We’ve decided that we’ll save on daycare while I’m off for the twelve weeks, so he’ll be with me twenty-four seven for that whole entire time. I’m a working mother and look forward to my own time away when I go to work. I’m sure some mothers would say, how dare you, but it’s true. I don’t’ think I could be a stay at home mother. I’m not going to lose my identity and rely on a man to provide for me and my children. Besides, how logical is that now a days? Not very in my book. I think a family really sacrifices a lot for the mother to stay at home to be with the kids. If you’re good parents, you can raise your family without having terrible kids to show for it. It’s all about being involved with your kids right from the get go. Letting them know you’re interested in who they are and what their doing. I think if you provide that, you’re not going to have any problems with your kids. Only complaint I have is baby stuff is so expensive. I guess I can’t go to Minnesota to see my relative for a while. I have to contact Global-escapes.net to cut me some deals.

I feel like going to the beach. Not necessarily to go swimming, but to enjoy the wind and the sun on my face. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve went to the beach. Goodness knows that the beaches aren’t like they use to be. I remember as a kid that you could walk the beach for miles and find all kinds of shells. Now a days, there’s practically no shells at all. And the ones you find are so ugly, why would you want them. I’m not really sure why that is either. I mean shells just couldn’t of disappeared from the ocean. I also wouldn’t go swimming at the beach either. There’s just too many sharks. I’m sure they were out there when I was kid, but nothing like it is today. I mean their right up there in the surf and not talking a few, I’m talking at all times. No thank you, I’ll stick with just walking in the shoreline and just getting my feet wet. I remember we use to have the best time fishing too. I’m sure that hasn’t changed. In fact I know that hasn’t changed, because my father practically goes every weekend. He never get tired of going. I guess now that he’s retired what else does he have to do. Maybe I’ll have to go with him one of these weekends. The only problem he never leaves at a decent time, especially if the fish are biting. But that’s a gamble you have to take when you go with him. I guess I should stop my complaint!! Next summer, I am planning to make Global Escapes trip to somewhere hot!! I also have to go to Texas next month.

I had a great vacation trip to Minnesota this summer with Global Escapes. I have no complaint except some things. How can you get excited about golf? I know some people who can talk about it for hours and hours. I can barely stand looking at it while surfing the channels for something to watch. There’s nothing exciting going on. No one is getting hit, knocked down or possible loosing their lives to the sport. Well, I guess you could have a heat stroke and die, but that’s about it. It’s so boring to watch this guy or girl hit this little ball around into this hole. The only time I found it interesting is when this guy hit a ball over some water and it went into the hole. I’ve seen that a couple of times done. I mean, can you imagine the luck that was riding with that person the day that happens to them? I’m sure they consider that to really be a good day of golf. Other than that, I would much rather take a nap, get my teeth cleaned, anything that would make me not watch golf for any amount of time. I know this one individual that records all matches, so they don’t miss a thing. Then they come back the next day and talk for hours about it to someone else in the department. They both go back and forth on how impressed they are with the skills and whatever else they say. I just close my door, so I can cut down on some of what I hear. I guess if that’s what makes your boat float then that’s all that matters.

How could you ever trust someone that cheated on you? It must make you feel like your whole life is a scam!! I know I certainly couldn’t. If I ever found out that my husband cheated on me, that would be it. Bye-Bye, have a nice life. I hope he can enjoy Global Escapes vacation trip by himself!! I would never be able to get over it or trust him again. What really cracks me up are these people who cheat with each other and leave their significant others to be with each other. Have you ever been around a couple like this? Well, I have plenty and neither one of the trust each other. They’ve always got to know where the other is and just smoother each other to death. I’m sure in the beginning it was like that person really cares about me. But after awhile that tends to put a stain on the relationship, because you can’t make a move without the other. I mean how can you trust someone that cheated to be with you and vice versa? If they cheated to be with you, then don’t you think they could do that very same thing with someone else? I think so. I think that it would be very easy for then to pull off again and move on without giving it a second thought. People just need to stop lying to themselves and know when it’s over and part on good terms. You shouldn’t have to resort to measures of cheating on your partner to make yourself happy. You should be able to talk it out and move on if need be.

Digital cameras, what a great development. I wouldn’t be without my digital camera. I guess I still have some complaints. I have thousands of pictures and I only have to print the ones I really want, but keep all the ones that really don’t need to be printed. I think every family of today should have one. Especially, people who just have a baby. It was so handy to get those first pictures to share with family and friends. Then, you just can’t be without one if you have internet. It’s a must have to share your pictures with people around the globe. We have family overseas and they’ve been able to track their grandson’s progress the whole entire time, due to digital photos. I love it, because you can do a photo anytime you like, see and do whatever needs to be done with it. I can’t wait to get a more advanced one, before our second child is born. They’re always coming up with better technology every day that keeps enhancing what you currently have. I’ve had our camera for practically five years and it’s been able to keep up pretty well, but I think it’s time that we upgrade. I don’t want to miss any picture opportunities when the next baby gets here. Actually, that make us have two cameras, so there should be plenty of pictures to be taken. I’ll have to pass this idea by my husband and get him to do the research to find the best one and try to purchase it this weekend. When I go to my Global Escapes vacation trip to Eden Prairie next year, I’ll take bunch of pics.
