About me:
My Very Own Flickr Group!
For quit some time, I've been leading a secret life as MC and burlesque performer, Miss Katherine Lashe(formerly Veronica Lashe). I finally found my true calling after getting to open for Dita von Teese in Dec 2003. Performing in a world of hour glass figures with all the glitz and glamour every little girl dreams of. I turned in my floggers for feathers and now travel the county side trying to raise money for a Rhinestone Mine I heard about in the wilds of North Carolina! I'm currently on a quest to help bring back a time when ladies were dangerous dames with great gams and men were fabulous fellas with pompadours and pencil thin moustaches.
I am one half of the Syrens of the South, which is my partnership with Talloolah Love for the production of burlesque shows, fundraisers for non-profit organizations, and a general good time!
In 2008 I had the honour of performing at the Miss Viva Las Vegas Burlesque Competition at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender. I also tought my History of Burlesque Class and performed at the Asheville Amerciana Burlesque & Sideshow Festival, and performed at the 2008 Coney Island Rockabilly Festival!
I have also performed with Dita von Teese; Jo Boobs; Torchy Taboo; Renea'le Roux; Foxy Moxy; The Dollsquad; Blast-Off Burlesque, Big Mamma's House of Burlesque in Charlotte, NC, Big City Burlesque and Lux and Ruby's Burlesque A-Go-GO in Hollywood. There have been more wonderful performers then this, but there are really too many to name them all.
I have also been fortunate enough to perform at the following events and places: The Burlesque Hall of Fame: Miss Exotic World 2007 & 2008; The Great Boston Burlesque Expo 2007, Monster Bash 2006; Drive In-Vasion 2006; Chattacon XXXII (2007) and XXXIII (2008), Con Nooga I (2008) Phobia, The Punchline Comedy Club, The Star Bar, Mulligan's Bar, The Earl, My Sister's Room, The Chamber and numerous other events and locations.
I have the honor of being Honkitup.com's Pin-up for April 2008, Pin-Up Vixen's Miss March 2007, and was chosen for the 2007 Java's Bachelor Pad's 25 Day of Christmas Cuties! I have a degree in Musical Theatre and have been doing burlesque steadily since August 2004. I currently live in Atlanta and have since Nov of 2001, you could say it's my home base of operations for this grande scheme! Atlanta Burlesque Meetup!
As a note: I will add almost anyone to my friends list just because I like meeting new people.
