With over 18,000 hours of live performances during her 18 year career, Vero Voz has achieved what talented singers live for....to find a special place in the hearts of thousands of adoring fans through her interpretations of songs.
Veronica, who started her career in Monterrey, Mexico, followed in the musical footsteps of her grandmother Carolina and her mother Blanca, to become the third generation of a family of talented singers. Her love of music, and the unique ability to interpret a song, continues to be her number one passion.
Veronica's plan to have a professional career was still very much a part of her future when an event at the American School Foundation of Monterrey suddenly awoke a passion in her that was to cause a life changing career decision in 1989. The year was 1981, and Veronica auditioned and won one of the lead roles in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar as Maria Magdalena. Upon receiving rave reviews after each performance as the best female singer in the musical, the seed was planted for what was to become the development of one of the most talented singers of our generation.
Under the masterful eye and guidance of the director of the theatre, Professor George Bracamontes, Veronica built a strong foundation for her uniquely beautiful five octave range voice, which gave her the ability interpret songs in a manner that few singers are capable of......much to the pleasure of her adoring fans.
Although Veronica established a very successful professional career in the corporate world, her dream to one day become a professional singer was very much alive, and in 1989 she was invited to become the lead singer for the popular group Banda Festival; a relationship that lasted for nine years and opened many doors in the world of music. In 1999, Veronica made a decision to form her own group and named it Vero Voz & Company. The group's success over the years has resulted in numerous television appearances, several music awards, and six successful CD's, all under the guidance of a talented pianist and producer, Juan Angel Rodriguez.
Veronica's ability to sing in English and Spanish has allowed her to cross over into the American mainstream market. She has gained the respect and adoration of many of the music industry's top performers and she has had the privilege of performing with the likes of Vicente Fernandez, Marco Antonio Muniz, and the King of Salsa, Oscar de Leon. Veronica has performed in numerous venues in the United States, including Chicago, Dallas, San Diego, and Las Vegas at the Bellagio Casino. The artists who have influenced her the most include Barbara Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughan, and Stevie Wonder. Among the various styles of music that Veronica sings are Standards, Big Band, Jazz, Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Country, Bossa Nova, Bolero, Cumbia, Salsa, Merenge, and Rancheras.
The multi-talented Veronica continues to WOW her audiences with each performance, and she will continue to climb the ladder that leads to stardom.........Veronica is on the fast track to something very big in the world of music!**************************************
TRAYECTORIA VERO VOZ
Con mas de 18,000 horas de presentaciones en vivo durante sus 18 años de carrera, carrera que inicia el 18 de agosto de 1989, Vero Voz ha logrado lo que los artistas anhelan con cada presentación, llegar a los oídos y corazones de miles de espectadores.
Su carrera inicia en Monterrey, México, siendo la 3ª generación de hermosas voces (su abuela Carolina y su madre, Blanca) desde sus primeros años de vida, su contacto con la música, fue inevitable y hasta hoy, sigue siendo su pasión.
Verónica inicia sus años de estudiante en el American School Foundation of Monterrey, destacándose por sus logros académicos y encontrándose por primera vez con su destino, la música en 1981. Ese año participa en la obra Jesucristo Superestrella, como Maria Magdalena, en la cual recibe el reconocimiento como “la mejor voz femenina” durante dichas presentaciones. Perfectamente guiada y apoyada por el director de teatro de dicho colegio, Prof. George Bracamontes, logra despertar en ella el amor por el canto y el respeto a todo publico quienes desbordaban con sus aplausos en cada una de sus interpretaciones. Sus sueños de continuar su carrera de Medicina se vieron truncados al decidir continuar con sus estudios profesionales, eligiendo estudiar Derecho, en la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, carrera que concluye, a la par de la de Instructor de Lengua Inglesa y Traducción Simultanea en el Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
Gracias a sus estudios y preparación, logra importantes puestos en diversas empresas y puestos importantes en oficina gubernamentales, pero no fue hasta 1989, que una invitación a formar parte de una prestigiosa agrupación musical, Banda Festival, toca a su puerta, dejando así, a un lado sus empleos para tomarse unas “vacaciones” de tanto estudio in-interrumpido y trabajo, vacaciones en la música que se han convertido en ya 17 anos. Su dominio del idioma ingles y de su nativo español, le abren puertas y fronteras al lograr importantes contrataciones y presentaciones dentro y fuera de México, compartió escenarios con grandes de la música como, Piporro, Vicente Fernández, Marco Antonio Muñiz y el Rey de la Salsa, Oscar de León.
En los Estados Unidos logra presentarse en ciudades como San Diego, Chicago, y en las Vegas, Nevada, en el Bellagio.
Sus casi 9 anos con la Banda Festival, le darían “las tablas” al presentarse en infinidad de escenarios en cada una de sus presentaciones, logrando convencer a los gustos más exigentes durante eventos para todo tipo de publico. Como no mencionar las innumerables apariciones en programas televisivos como Mira Que Bonito, con el apreciado Rómulo Lozano (Canal 12), Románticos (antes Canal 3), Buen Provecho (Canal 8) La Banda Festival con su inigualable calidad y excelencia musical, logra distinguirse como una de las mejores bandas del Norte de la Republica, y fue hasta 1997 que inicia su propia agrupación, Vero Voz y Compañía. En 1999 recibe por parte de la Unión Filarmónica de Monterrey, el reconocimiento como la Voz Femenina, por su destacada trayectoria.
Sus primeras influencias musicales inician escuchando Estereo Rey (92.5 FM) en Monterrey, y Stereo 99 FM, escuchando grandes voces como la de su cantante mas admirada, Barbra Streisand, así como Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughan, Carpenters, y admirando de los años 70’s a Earth Wind and Fire, la súper banda Chicago, Stevie Wonder, y de la música en español, a Valeria Lynch, José José, Roció Durcal, compositores como Armando Manzanero, Juan Gabriel....todo esto logra ampliar su perspectiva y le permiten su versatilidad en todos los géneros musicales como el Jazz, Blues, Rythm and Blues, Bossa Nova, la música Country así como el inconfundible mariachi, el Bolero, y géneros como la Cumbia, el Merengue, la Salsa la música Disco, y la norteña, de su natal Monterrey.
Con sus ya seis materiales discográficos, Vero Voz desea perpetuar en la música y dejar huella en las siguientes generaciones. La historia sigue escribiéndose y la tinta no se acaba mientras su voz siga deleitándonos y regalándonos su bella melodía. Vero, Verónica, Vero Voz, madre, hija, hermana, artista, profesionista, destacada atleta, amante de la paz, y de los sushis pero sobre todas las cosas, un instrumento divino que nos recuerda esos dichos tan nuestros, “el artista ya nace, no se hace!” Y “de tal palo tal astilla”.
