About me:
Vero prefers to be out in the sun, or in the rain, or whateva...i.e. OUT in NATURE than in this virtual land. William enjoys the power of technology, the beauties it can make and the fact that its making/breaking its own rules. Together they can dig that but are also aware that it can be a big waste of time, and even more of natural resources. A way for us to stay even more in our heads and out of our bodies, our connections with others and Mother Earth. However, because of how many friends and family connect through this network of myspace we are online occasionally. Our intention with this page is to stay connected and abreast of the going ons of our dear ones. Please do not expect us to accept you as a friend just because you have music/art/work to put out...unless it really touches us or is the result of real exchange we'll just keep our friends limited to the buddies we know and love. Second disclaimer: We live in a location where dial up is the only internet access currently available. So please bare with us through the lack of slideshow, music selection, etc. That's one of the reasons why we may not be able to see your fabulous pages, cause if it takes more than 10 min to upload your page, we're going to give up on it and keep it moving. :( Sorry... Okay back to who we are: Veronica is a mother/daughter/sister/dancer/lover who believes we are revolutionizing our worlds through the little things we do with ourselves, with our loved ones, with our homes and our breath. She is a facilitator/teacher by trade mostly teaching movement/dance and language skills, infusing her special love and interest in resistance/alternative (i.e. liberation mov'ts, lgbtq two spirit perspectives, indigenous/native, women, immigrant, and youth centered) history into the activities of her classes. William is a designer and martial arts specialist who teaches Muay Thai and Self-Defense driven aerobics out of our backyard and several gyms in the area. He's a nuts & bolts type of man, who likes to do well whatever he does. So in the last 3 years he has mastered not only the skill of teaching mixed martial arts/self-defense but also the nutritional aspects of getting & staying fit. His graphic design work is rooted in 15+ years experience developing logos, websites, portfolio layouts and other visual representation/marketing/branding ideas. Together we are currently on a life journey to be self-sustaining and to live off the land as much as possible. This current phase de notre voyage has us in Bahia, Brazil with our firstborn. We own our little home and plot of land in Vera Cruz, Bahia on an island the size of Manhattan, called Itaparica. We trust that you will be able to join us here one day for a visit, at the very least. :) Both of us come from a long line of migrants, gypsies and immigrants who started anew elsewhere. We have blood relatives and extended family with roots in every continent of the world, except Antarctica--currently. The dominant languages in our lives currently include English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. We have children in our lives (and others arriving) who are growing up multilingual, so if anyone out there wants to trade reflections on this please reach out! Especially with exprience teaching non-occidental languages! What else about us? We're relatively open folks that are down to have real discussions with honesty and clarity. So feel free to ask away if you'd like to build more!

It sounds like heaven...let's do it! I'm about to go into my garden now. I love working in the garden more than anything! I wanted to stay here at least until my lease is up in Mid-November, and maybe even til January and make some extra loot. I'm trying to figure out how to get grant money to get land there and make it a sustainable agriculture project with young people. I'm still learning myself though. Let's make a date some time this week for a cyber chat.
Maybe 2moro?

Hey Vero,

BENDICIONES,
