     ANGELINA

    She's the gothic Queen of the tower.
    In her uniqueness she finds her power.
    There is a religion that speaks of embracing
    the feminine face of God.
    The reflection of her face is cast in the Moonlight.
    The weather forecast shows she is beyond the control of men;
    At least I thought so but I was wrong.
    The only path to take me there is in truth & love;
    The path in which he told us is the promise land here on earth.
    In nature it is observed seeing everything break down.
    His actions are extremely selfish and deep in greed.
    The people must stay asleep as the sheep are made to follow.
    Evolution works in mysterious ways;
    The creation of it all painted a magnificent masterpiece
    which we've been blessed upon to take part in as creators ourselves.
    My devotion is in the beauty of such inspiration and creativity.
    I touch upon it again as observation meets intuition.
    It is through the sacred heart that will bring about
    the manifestation of such evolution.
    Mother earth delivers life,death and rebirth;
    I live in this world but I'm from another;
    Education will have you memorizing battle dates;
    I look at it now and question it like I've never done before;
    I'm alone and I've had the time to look;
    Too educate myself in books that spoke directly to me;
    That which was of interest,That in which my heart guided me to;
    Why are we not educated enough to keep peace;
    If were to go deep with it surely it would be understood.
    It appears we are asleep.
    We hear what they tell us to hear.
    They have us living in fear.
    the ocean waters are very deep.
    It is her lost I mourn.
    The ghost of her must be called upon.
    The cost of living is overpriced.
    Mankind rules by deceiving.
    I walk with no direction.
    Education controls the information.
    I do what I'm passionate about.
    Reflecting upon her beauty brings about art,
    that which touches the human soul, the ruptured heart.
    Hear me as I declare my love.
    I'm in your service.
    Ego & Greed does the worst kind of disservice.
    All I need is love.
    The world feeds us ignorance.
    I'm watching her dance in the Moonlight.
    My desire to move closer to her is never ending.

Bio

Versailles. “I’m lying down like I’m sleeping but my eyes are slightly open, as if to say I’m hardly there, just barely able to look back on all I’m singing about and keep going. I love performing these songs live, but I think their greater impact will be in a more intimate place, where a listener who is hurting can be alone with the emotions I am expressing. My hope is that people out there will hear these, connect with them and understand where I have been. If I can in any way help them to ease their pain and feel better about their own lives, I think I’ve achieved my goal of helping people heal through the power of music.”

Following the release of her first EP Believe in 2005 she has had 3 songs released on Cleopatra Records in 2005,2006 and 2007. Versailles is on A Gothic Acoustic Tribute To NIN, A Tribute to She Wants Revenge , Stop Me If You Think Youve Heard This One Before (Tribute to The Smiths), and Gothic Divas. Two of these songs were produced by Gregory Butler who has also produced Switchblade Symphony.

Versailles newest album "Sacrifice" is now out. "Sacrifice" was produced and written by Dianna St. Hilaire. Assistant producer and engineer on the CD is Eric Greedy. Dianna has been referred to in the past as the Gothic Tori Amos and is now writing songs that fall between the lines of the 70's and 80's with roots from bands like "Depeche Mode" and "Joy Division".

The songs are dark and ominous yet fun and inviting. Synthpop sounds with distinct melody lines and aggressive orchestrations. Songs encompass a wide variety of subject matter including love, vampires, war, the human soul, strength and struggle.

Versailles has released multiple albums that have either been well received or just outright hated. Interest in Versailles prior albums spans the globe from places like Japan, Europe, The Middle East, even down into Mexico and South America. Versailles has toured the greater United States with bands like Ego Likeness and Bella Morte and is currently situated in Los Angeles. Versailles was most recently in the film "Black Room Doom" written by producer Kim Fowley of popular 70's band "The Runaways".

Versailles is now equipped with three beautiful female members. Dianna St. Hilaire- Vocals, Keytar, Stephanie Rose- Bass, Marie Ilene- Drums. And the newest non-girl member is Shaun Richards- Guitar. Versailles will be performing at Club Vicious in August followed by a performance at this years Pink Parlour Festival in San Diego and a US tour in the fall. Performances include burlesque and cabaret attire, bananas and keytars. Get out your petticoats and corsets.

Versailles did the album Broken Dolls released in late 2008. This album holds 15 songs very dear to Versailles based around the emotional side of abuse in many different forms. Following this release is a book of short stories written by Versailles. These stories "Wendy's Razor Blades", "Fade", "Mars", "Broken Dolls", "Pages", and "Legion" all show a girls struggle through different types of abuse and destruction.

Press Reviews

Morticia Devine- Underground Press

Believe is a beautiful and haunting album from Dianna St. Hilaire, the solo artist behind Versailles. The lyrics are almost innocent in its own shadowed sadness No sleep till midnight, my lips still sewn tight, a lullaby couldn't put me to sleep tonight, and Dianna's voice is tender and celestial with an undertone of desolation.

Jennifer Layton- Indie Music

How perfect that I just came home from seeing Tim Burton's Corpse Bride before playing this CD. Versailles is a darkpop mistress with gothic influences and a voice that can be breathy and innocent even when she's rasping and pleading and crying out to the heavens.

Laura T Lynch- Kweevak

Dianna's music is darkwave, alternative with atmospheric piano chords. She pens shadowy lyrics, but her sweet high ranging voice keeps the songs from being too from being to scary, yet her music is haunting. Dianna sings with raw emotion and her clasical piano playing adds character and originality to her songs.

Emily ONeary- Rock City News

A talent scoutt was sitting with me that evening and stated that Versailles is the personification of what it takes to be a superstar. Hew writing is insightful and poignant. Her stage presence is utterly unforgetable, and her musicianship as well as her looks posses that rarist of charisma that one cannot manufacture. She was born to perform
