About me: Jakub Niedziela. Born in 1986 in Krosno, Poland. Self-taught painter, calligraphist, mixed media & collage artist. "Officially" the English and Polish Philology student (MA degree in progress). Interested in the motifs of book and script, as well as in abstraction, surrealism, word semantics and music. Inspired by such artists as Brody Neuenschwander, Maxfield Parrish and Remedios Varo blends different techniques and traditions into the unique style, full of expressive colours, riddles of meaning and dreamy but mysterious kind of beauty.

Who I'd like to meet: A musician who would like to collaborate with me on the album artwork. Still, to do a visual project for an album on which the music and the image would consist an integral unity is one of my small dreams, yet since my musical talents equal zero I need someone to make this come true.

As I wrote in my request, I like a lot some of your artworks. I must confess I can't fully understand the meaning of them, but I'm enjoying them "at first sight": because of the colours ( I love all kinds of blue) and because of the magic images you built. My favourites are, for example, "Panta Rhei" or "Children in the city of the river". They convey me pleasant feeling through colours. Be sure I'll keep an eye to your production, too!
