Verticals are one of the most interesting young bands on the Russian club stage. They interwine expressive emotional melodies, explosive drive and noisy experimental sketches in songs bursting with creativity. They are very creative - they try to combine different musical styles: from distorted guitar lines to psyshedelic landscapes, from rapid rhythms to melancholic melodies. "We always just try to play the Music", - say the guys. "Beautiful melodies, live shows and experiments with sound are always important for us. Basically we spend time in rehearsals playing as loudly as possible – only then is it possible to hear where music "works", and when it doesn't. We never hesitated to play what we wanted - we didnt confine ourselves to any certain style as many other musicians do". In their live performances Verticals give out a powerful stream of energy, and create a unique atmosphere which never fails to please their fans. Verticals formed in March, 2005 from the splinters of different bands. They started to work on new material which would satisfy each of their musical tastes. The band searched for the sound, constantly experimenting and perfecting their skill, and at last they found the calling in indie and post-rock music.
