I've played throughout Texas and Louisiana and
hit ten other states. Roots rock and roll, blues,
fusion, funk, R&B, reggae/worldbeat. Hosting the
weekly Blues Jam at Dan Electro's Guitar Bar
for most of its 20 years.
I've had the good fortune to play with people at the
top of my respect list, like Uncle John Turner
(Johnny Winter), Sam Andrew (Joplin's guitarist),
Carolyn Wonderland, singer-songwriters
David Rodriguez and Vince Bell, et al.
Kindly invited to sit in with blues legends like
Johnny Johnson, Joe Hughes, Jerry Beech, Tab
Benoit (had him join the house band for a night at
my blues jam); and Jimmy Carl Black (Zappa).
Opened for Mose Allison, Taj Mahal, Bobby Bland,
Stevie Vaughan, etc.
Houston Press Music Poll nominee -- Best
Guitarist (twice) and Musician of the Year.
It's been and is a good ride.
They say I have a distinctive voice on the guitar.
Beats me.
