Vesuvian Live at The Cavern Club Liverpool June 09
GIG REVIEW
Aberdeen Tunnels, 28th March 2008. Supporting The Whip.
Its no understatement to say that I had been looking forward to this gig all week. What I didn't expect was that I'd also have the pleasure of being introduced to Vesuvian for the first time. I don't think it would be unkind to say that they sound like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Their set up of twin guitars, bass and drums belies the monsterous noise they manage to create. It's not until thier third track however that they really hit their stride - if Alan McGee heard them he would explode and possibly hail them as the next big thing. It's that kind of band, and a rare breed indeed - an Aberdonian band worth watching out for in the future.
Of course u hav my support on 18th... i still remember that long weekend i started in tiger when u played and then the rest with paul & his lovely jade & lewis and etc... haahaha.. fantastic ppl u r... the same kind as me...
G'day mate!! Cheers for that, I'll probably be working when it's on but I'll see what I can do! Check yer email on this and I've a wee update. Great photo!! Rossco ;)
Just saw the video et the Cavern, it seems that I've missed a great gig! Do you have any plan to play in London in July? coz I'll try to cross the channel for a few days at the end of the month! Anyway, congrats for your work, talk soon! xxx
What’s Crackin’ Vesuvian ? We’re hitting back our myspace folks to let you know that your prayers have been answered. What prayers, you may ask. Well, today my friends, the good reptiles over at Bossasaurus (namely the ones writing this message) have teamed up with Murs (Living Legends, Def Jux, 9th Wonder, etc.) to, for the first time ever, offer you a taste of our music with an emcee over them. If you hate emcees and were feeling the tranquility of our un-defiled instrumental works than we sincerely apologize for our critical error in judgment. Otherwise come on over and check out our Murs feat. James Blunt 'Everything' remix.
Nice one min, great to hear from you! Looking forward to the new tunes, it's been far too long! I'm fine thanks, living in a wee place in North Queensland, up in the tropics, biding in a hostel wi' folk from all over the world, the banter's immense! Gonna be picking tomatoes for beer money in the next few months!!!!
hey man.. we'd have been up for playing the Tunnels gig with you lot, but our drummers got a wedding to go to that night in Liverpool.. another time fo sho. Billy.
