We are a husband and wife duo from the greater Cincinnati area that formed Vexing Souls as the final result of many years of musical experimentation by Steve Burris. Incorporating heavy guitar, bass, keyboards and drum machines, the music takes on a melodic-metal sound with gothic influences. Just imagine if the bride of Frankenstein teamed up with Ozzy. It's good and creepy!
Steve Burris has been playing guitar for many years, performing as a member in several different local bands. Unsatisfied with merely playing other artists' music, Steve constructed a home-studio in order to focus on creating his own unique style of original music.
The clean, melodic vocals and thought-provoking lyrics are written and performed by Judy Burris. Many of the songs have a double meaning, so listen closely and see if you can pick them out.
Our new drummer, Chris Voynovich, will replace the drum machines previously used on the "Shadows of the Past" album. Our live shows are going to be awesome!

Bless you for your love and friendship - I hope you both had a good weekend. My friend Jackie gave birth to twins 3 weeks ago... little Ella and Christopher were born at 27 weeks, so are very very premature - both are in a special babycare unit in hospital. I had a message from Jackie this morning praising God that Ella is alive, so I guess she's had a battle thru the night... Jackie is full of faith and praising God - husband Alex has not come to faith yet, but is astounded at the love and support pouring out from the church.
Please pray for this family, especially that God would strengthen little Ella and Christopher... and protect their lives... Thank you. Dominique

Hi guys how's life treating you nowadays? I'm doing alright,just doing the same old same old.Yesterday however my parents had my grandparents(my mom's parents)over for dinner because it was my grandpa's 92th birthday. So naturally i wanted to be there!
