View from a Throne formed in the latter half of 2004 with final member, Chris joining on drums.
Kev, Deighton and Trev (guitar, guitar, bass), have been learning their trade since back in 2000, having had a successful, but short-lived stint playing venues around the Midlands in former band Junk Monkey. In the summer of 2004 the, as yet, un-named act were joined by Simon on vocals after hed had a couple of outings with The Society and industrial band Deviant UK. This left one position to fill, former My Inflicted Scars member, Chris, outshone at the auditions to land the role of drummer. View from a Throne, as they would now be known, were complete.
November the same year saw the bands first live performance at a respected local venue, this turned out to be a complete success with the band receiving a far better response than could have been anticipated. Since then, the band has spent time wisely, writing, recording and producing their demo at their studio and playing further gigs around the local area to great recognition.
Next on the agenda the band hope to perform live at as many venues as possible around the Midlands to gain a strong fan base, and then move further a field the play at venues all over the country. Look out for View from a Throne at a venue near you.

Imagine 1 in 10 songs on the radio being an artist/band that have yet to have a UK top 20 album and are from the area that the radio station is broadcast.
There are thousands of bands in the UK that get no radio coverage and deserve some. Hearing a local band on the radio will increase the amounts of people going to their gigs and help the struggling pubs and venues.
We think it will do a lot more than this. It will create music scenes, a diversity in what each region listens to, bands that are well known and well heard in one area but are still very unkown in another. It will create communities again.
Wouldn't we like this? Wouldn't we like a slightly different scene from area to area? would this create a better community spirit?
