The last months of 2005 found guitarist Bill O'Connor on a quest to build a band around his formidable guitar talent and edgy rock attitude. This led him to a jam session with members of Maybe Someday, a young group popular on the Wilkes-Barre college scene. It was a rich experience that left Bill with a clearer vision of the band he sought, not to mention a killer hangover.
Bill told his musical accomplice, the charming yet powerful singer Billy Olsewski, that the band they were to form required the energetic, bombastic drumming of Maybe Someday's Ivan Karosus. However, recruiting him would dissolve Ivan's band, whose bass guitarist Landon Gabriel is Billy's similarly charming (but allegedly less powerful) cousin.
Luckily for the guys and for you, this potential familial faux pas was avoided: Landon and Ivan had already been considering such a move in pursuit of new and improved musical goals. The Line had been drawn. VibeLine!
The band spent that winter touring greater Scranton and Carbondale, tantalizing their audiences and garnering quite the devoted following. To expand their sound (or sometimes just crowd the stage), they added Jesse Vipond to the roster with his guitar and related antics, and haven't looked back since.
VibeLine are now proud to present their refreshingly unlikely set of cover tunes and a growing number of tasteful original pieces to you, the discriminating rock and roll enthusiast!
